Director of Social Media - Retail/Etail background, full-time

A large, prominent retailer is looking for a Director of Social Media to drive strategy and execution within the Marketing/PR department.

The ideal candidate will have a background in building social media presence for a Fortune500 retail/etail brand. This person will be responsible for building campaign strategy across all platforms, growing followers and providing value and retention incentives in a creative way to current fan base.

Must haves:

-Proven experience (metrics) on social media ROI
-Experience in the eCommerce/retail marketing space
-Analytics savvy, with knowledge of Omniture, Radian6 and/or Google Analytics
-10+ years of marketing, 3+ years of social media
-Director/VP title in previous position
-Customer service oriented social media strategies also a PLUS

At first, this position will be both strategic and executionary, with 1-2 junior level marketing specialists reporting. You must be able to check your ego at the door and get in the weeds to grow the department, and justify additional budget and resources. Presenting to the c-suite on a quarterly basis at a minimum, and reigning in multiple stakeholders across creative, marketing and PR departments.
