Director of Sales & Marketing

FUNCTION: Develop and implement the global sales and marketing strategy. Manage the sales, customer service, and marketing staff. Develop and lead the global distributor network.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Hands on management of key global accounts
2. Lead and develop the sales, customer service, and marketing staff
3. Provide semi-monthly forecast for the financial outlook
4. Provide monthly reports on customers, competitors, products and overall market conditions
5. Develop and implement the global sales plan
6. Develop and implement the global marketing and promotional strategy
7. Establish the price lists and pricing strategy
8. Provide direction for new product development
9. Lead the commercialization of new products and services to the customer base

SKILLS AND APTITUDES:
1. Semiconductor industry experience desirable. Candidates with sales management experience in medical device and life sciences will also be considered
2. Experience with strategic planning and plan implementation
3. Good business acumen and familiarity with business finance
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Excellent and proven customer relationship skills
6. Leadership and team building skills
7. Minimum five years marketing and sales management experience
8. Computer skills including MS Word and Excel
9. Working knowledge of international markets, specifically the Pacific Rim and Europe
10. Relevant college degree

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage global sales and marketing team, grow market share in current markets, lead entry into new markets

CONTACTS:
External: The regional sales people will be the primary interfaces with customers and distributors. The Director of Sales and Marketing will meet and know all the top customers and distributors. The Director will meet and know the key suppliers of all the marketing and promotion tools.

The director may be the key contact with industry experts, other industry participants, and the media.

JOB CONDITIONS:
30%-to-50% travel to customers, distributors, sales offices, industry activities
