Director of Online Marketing

We are looking for a seasoned, innovative and passionate Director of Online Marketing with strong leadership skills. The candidate for the Director of Online Marketing position must be ROI focused and highly skilled in developing new online marketing programs. This position reports to the SVP of Marketing, but will also partner with merchandising, creative and technology to recommend and drive plans to build the overall web experiences and continue to build innovative programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acquisition/Retention Strategy
o Lead customer acquisition and retention with a continuous focus on improving ROI and gaining greater leverage and efficiency on marketing spend
o Responsible for the development and optimization of TV ads, print ads and the post-click stages of the online DM conversion funnel (including landing page/registration page optimization)
o Drive implementation and optimization of marketing programs (loyalty, rewards, refer a friend) to increase customer loyalty, retention an overall sales
o Collaborate with campaign team to uncover new opportunities
• Online Merchandising & Promotional Strategy
o Develop targeted merchandising and promotional strategies that drive improvements in sales conversion, translating to increases in customer acquisition, retention and up/cross-sales
o Oversee the planning process for the site, including merchandising activity, development and execution of promotional offers, management of seasonal campaigns, coordination of merchandise assortments and support of key branding campaigns and initiatives
• Email Strategy
o Develop email marketing and customer communications strategy
o Develop and optimize cost effective ongoing database segmentation plans in order to maximize revenue and engagement while minimizing opt-outs and opt-downs
• Perform and develop appropriate metrics to measure and monitor key performance indicators and effectiveness of online initiatives.
• Take a strategic view of the digital commerce landscape, keeping current with the industry best practices and trends
• Identify opportunities for new marketing tactics, technologies, site-conversion functionality and improved user experiences

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years relevant experience in online marketing to consumers; including DM funnel, eCommerce, retention, consumer experience and email
• Out of the box thinking: he/she will be a visionary, creating strategies and turning them into concrete tactical plans
• Proven abilities to drive change and generate new revenue sources
• Demonstrated experience balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and competing demands to ensure short-term goals supporting long-term initiatives are achieved
• Experience with web marketing and improvement tools/methods including SEO, SEM, Social Media, A/B testing, usability testing, focus groups and web analytics
• Analytical, creative with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present and communicate to all levels of an organization
• Experience working cross-functionally with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners/clients
• Ability to motivate, lead, and utilize effective management techniques to influence and motivate staff to perform at the highest level of excellence
• Understanding of the latest technical standards and best practices in web services
• Passion for fashion, internet and e-commerce
