Director of Online Content (Contract)

Vitamin T client is seeking a Director of Online content with preferred experience in Drupal for a contract to hire assignment. This is to replace a current employee who is leaving.
Key Responsibilities
The Director of Online Content will help drive website utilization by managing production, featured content areas, developing and improving content and web products, optimizing search.

• Manage and drive the Digital Platform editorial calendar and the processes that drive site freshness (featured content, event calendar, splash pages, messaging, etc.)
• In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team, creation of member facing newsletters, emails, online promos, online content and publishing
• Content adaptation for external audiences
• Responsibility over the communication strategy across Social Media channels and platforms
• Management of online communities and Social Networks
• Measurement and analysis of Social Media reach and effectiveness
• Lead process and project management of Content initiatives
• Responsible for identifying qualified prospects from Social Media Channels
• Develop standards for, and drive efficiency of, web content publishing, including template development, process improvement, and technologies to speed design and ease maintenance.
• Maximize functionality and design of the site to improve user experience.
• Curate existing library of research reports, studies, surveys, etc
• Audit site regularly to recommend priority areas for focus and enhancement.
• Improve content publishing operations efficiency.
• Identify, scope, and develop site elements that support improved user experience and unique/repeat traffic.

Requirements
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of online or technical project management experience, plus:
• Experience owning the online experience and publishing of web properties (portals, homepages, channels, etc.)
• Experience publishing and managing Social Media channels (i.e. Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter Feeds, LinkedIn groups).
• Experience in web analytics, search engine optimization, and online marketing a plus.
• Tolerance for ambiguity and self-drive to operate in an entrepreneurial setting; comfortable in working in a matrix organization. Strong interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude and comfort with taking on multiple roles, sometimes outside of comfort zone.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems, HTML and Photoshop.
• Team player who is confident in expressing his/her ideas yet willing to receive constructive feedback from others.
• Willingness to update skill sets as new opportunities arise.
• A strong track record of managing multiple client points of contact
• Excellent writing skills (communication of data findings, insights and recommendations)
• Outstanding organizational and documentation skills
• Complete fluency in verbal communication both in person and over the phone
• Close attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Spanish helpful but not required.
• BA/BS required.
