Our client based out of Ontario is looking to add a Director of Marketing to their team. They consider themselves a combination of Wells Fargo and Facebook. We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing for a Financial/Credit Union client. The description below is lengthy and detailed, but please read through the entire thing as there are many parts to this position.

Marketing and Brand Strategy
• Develop, and execute, marketing strategies and plans that support corporate brand objectives and product sales.
• Develop annual marketing plan, strategies and programs that support corporate initiatives and product goals.
• Lead in-house creative team and external agencies in the creation and management of print and digital advertisements, direct mail and email campaigns, corporate website, intranet website, social network sites as well as corporate annual report and sales presentations.
• Effectively manage the brand and all related elements to increase brand exposure and support strategic initiatives.
• Develop and manage inbound marketing, sales support, and event marketing strategies to increase brand exposure and support growth and sales of solutions.
• Identify and implement metrics to ensure business objectives are met and modify strategies as appropriate.
• Proactively share results and reporting, consistently seeking and implementing effective campaigns.

Team Leadership and Departmental Relations
• Develop effective marketing team and maintain strong interdepartmental relations.
• Lead and manage all facets of marketing, an in-house and external advertising team to ensure resources are appropriately used to achieve organizational goals.
• Establish clear expectations and hold staff accountable for internal client satisfaction and exceptional service.
• Coach a team to creatively develop the execution of successful marketing campaigns.
• Acts as liaison between various internal stakeholder groups such as sales and product teams as well as vendors with the end-goal of increased participation and efficiencies in the marketing process.
• Identify and implement mechanisms that enable ease of use for other departments relying on marketing collateral, presentations, etc.

Budget Management
• Develop & management of the annual marketing budget
• Plan, manage, and maximize budget to align resources based on marketing volume and business goals.
• Negotiate and manage all media buys and marketing/advertising-related sponsorships and contracts.
• Identify new, more efficient ways of executing projects.
• Track budget and all campaign expenditures against plans and identify areas for mid-course corrections to remain within budget.

Publications and Communications
• Manage corporate publications and communications to achieve defined objectives.
• Manages internal PR staff and PR agency to increase market exposure of product and solutions.
• Leads the development of a PR plan with PR staff and PR agency for publications and communications that aligns with and supports business strategies.

Events
• Execute corporate events to achieve defined objectives.
• Establish annual marketing plan for events.
• Develop goals and budgets for major events (including annual lending symposium, NADA Expo, GAC conference and other national conferences.).
• Manage overall event brand experience including the development tradeshow booths and related marketing collateral.
• Implement marketing strategies around events to increase market exposure and increase success rate of lead generation and sales at events.

Experience
• 8 years’ experience with at least 3 years of broad management experience.
• Must have an understanding of all areas of marketing communications including brand management, inbound marketing, web and digital communications, sales and lead management, collateral development, event marketing and management, public relations, advertising, creative services and social media.
• Strong project management skills with ability to develop plans and strategies, set objectives, and manage to results.
• A self-starter who is able to identify improvements, make critical decisions and work with subject matter experts throughout the company to get ideas implemented.
• Proactive leadership style to identify opportunities and work within department and across organization to advance business.
• Understanding of credit union and/or automotive industries.
• Ability to travel
