Director, Database and Direct Program

The Director, Database and Direct Program is responsible for ensuring that the database marketing and email strategies effectively acquire, engage, and retain members of the company's database globally. This person will manage strategic databases, identify, and segment key audiences, which includes working with each of the national database marketing leads to effectively develop programs for national campaigns, creative messaging, and templates. This role will have the opportunity to build the function from the ground up, defining the role of database marketing to fit the needs and objectives of the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Deep domain knowledge (“center of excellence”) on database and email marketing product.
• Comfortable delivering effective education/rollout of global templates for email nurturing, triggered, and segmentation programs that can be translated into national campaigns.
• Engage with other members of the Westfield Labs team (product management, development, data) by contributing strategy, acquisition, and guidelines on data, while conceptualizing the overall global Cloud and personalization strategy.
• Lead effort with contributions from national database marketing leads to develop product positioning and internal materials for multiple stakeholders that clearly communicate the value proposition of our database and email programs.
• Strong understanding of email marketing metrics, cross-channel measurement, web analytics reporting/analysis.
• Execute lifecycle management of database (merge and purge) and look for opportunities to optimize programs & performance management.
• Contribute to national database acquisition strategy and list segmentation.
• Email marketing support for national markets (list generation, content and frequency suggestions, new template development, etc.).

Requirements:
• Knowledge of the RESPONSYS platform is a strong plus that will be considered highly.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in direct marketing and database management with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Experience integrating and executing lifecycle campaigns and programs across other digital channels such as Mobile, Social and Display Re-targeting.
• Practice in audience segmentation and data manipulation.
• Expertise in data tracking and reporting direct marketing campaign results.
• Ability to problem-solve and meet multiple deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High degree of initiative and a team player.
• Flexibility to participate in team events and activities.
• Prioritize and strategize between multiple projects.
