Director of Benefits

The Director of Benefits works with management and the team to implement, manage and support the overall ownership of Benefits services, policies and programs for the company. The Director of Benefits will administer and maintain benefits programs and ensure compliance for North America benefits and international benefits as needed. Preferable candidate will have experience designing and managing major benefit programs, wellness and training initiatives, benefit compliance and regulations, COBRA and Leave regulations, and retirement plans and fiduciary responsibility. The Director will have the ability to work independently, while supporting management goals and the Benefit and HR teams. He or she will have the ability to provide outstanding customer service in a highly decentralized and fast paced environment. Additional responsibilities include vendor management and work on large and small- scale projects. Analytical skills and budget management a must.

Essential Functions

Manage U.S. benefit programs, such as but not limited to medical, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability and 401(k)

Management of Benefit Broker and all Benefit Vendors in US and Canada Understanding and management of all employee benefits globally Ensure compliance with benefit regulations (US Federal, Local, State and Country) and requirements Process weekly enrollment applications, terminations and 401(k) deferral changes Familiar with leave and disability processes and legal requirements Participate as a team member on other projects as needed

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in related field. Minimum 5-7 years in Benefits Manager or Director role
Skill requirements include leadership, written and verbal communications, organizational planning and problem solving. Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate sound judgment, strategic thinking, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative, work well under pressure, and maintain confidential information.
Employee must work out of the Boston HQ location.

Preferred

Staffing experience strongly preferred. Experience with Canadian and International Benefits Microsoft Office Experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) ADP/Enterprise Experience
