Position Summary
The position is responsible for establishing and managing the technology vision and direction of internet programs, including maintaining and enhancing digital initiatives in support of the organization’s goals and objectives. The position plays a key role in the organization’s marketing and advocacy efforts, and provides strategic direction and oversight for the network of web sites and services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Recommends and develops plans relative to the most effective way to present an online representation of the organization’s strategic goals, and members to key constituents.
• Manages the design, development, support and evolution of the organizations member extranet and multiple public-facing web sites and web-based applications in support of organizational goals.
• Oversees ongoing software functions, including managing the creation and ongoing support of application standards for web security, web services, and the Graphic User Interfaces (GUI).
• Partners with other functional areas in the strategic development, planning, coordination, and execution of web activities/projects to ensure a cohesive web presence and compliance with technology policy and protocols.
• Leads search engine optimization/marketing campaign strategy and execution, including monitoring performance analytics, reviewing campaign success, and identifying strategies for enhancing web traffic growth.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelors degree in information technology or related field.
• Seven years experience in information technology.
• Five years experience in web site and web-based application design, development, and support.
• Strong understanding of a variety of technologies and options (e.g., web site and web application development, deployment, monitoring and support; web content management; e-commerce solutions; ensuring the security of web applications; social networking; and web 2.0/3.0 applications).
