Director, Resource and Digital Project Management

Vitamin T's client, a non-profit educational organization is looking for a Director, Resource and Project Management, to coordinate
teams, provide resource estimates, prioritize and manage workflow for the Digital - Brand
Experience group. Individuals in this role must demonstrate the ability to effectively
communicate with team members and business partners throughout the organization to ensure
fulfillment of resource needs, coordination of resource assignments, and problem solving for
conflicts between resources and business requirements/objectives.
Individuals in this role should have experience in defining, planning, scheduling and controlling
project activities, applying creative and strategic thinking and technical and project management
skills to satisfy business and organizational needs while representing the strategic vision of the
Brand Experience team and should be able to anticipate and independently address issues as
they arise.
Essential Functions
• Maintain project pipeline for the Digital - Brand Experience group with insight into
resource levels, durations, and skill sets
• Develop report with Digital Team leads and help them prioritize work based on
organizational and departmental priorities
• Assist with project intake, capturing the business requirements, objectives, and goals as
well as relaying this information to Digital Team leads to assist in providing input into
resource estimates
• Develop relationship with vendors to assist with keeping the flow of necessary
communication going through the project lifecycle
• Support team members of the Digital - Brand Experience group with strategies and
tactics to help them self manage projects and relationships and in certain instances
provide additional support and oversight to help the team work through varying issues
and risks on any given project
• Work within the company systems for intake and resource management
• Maintains multichannel view of projects and helps organization to connect the dots
between efforts regardless of if they are digital efforts.
• Exercises independent judgment and creatively addressing issues and ambiguous
situations as they arise to ensure that sites are maintained at a high level of accuracy
and quality and support the organization’s holistic digital strategy.
• Employs a proactive approach toward resource and project management, identifying
needs that clients may not recognize, ensuring that approaches and solutions are linked
to objectives and future needs.
• Identify viable vs. developing project ideas for prioritization and planning purposes
• Be able to work on projects as either straight waterfall, agile, or hybrid
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5-7 years of hands-on resource/project management experience in the digital
and/or creative space.
• Agency experience preferred.
• Experience in a client services/account management role preferred.
• PMP and/or CSM preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
• Hands-on experience in one or more aspects of digital production and digital product
management.
• Hands-on experience in one or more aspects of user experience research and design.
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management. Experience managing
blended teams of internal, freelance, and agency staff.
• Demonstrated ability to lead concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
• Familiarity with content management systems and software, specifically Drupal.
• Strong customer service orientation, with an ability to clearly discern client needs.
• Understanding of accessibility standards as they relate to digital content production and
familiarity with accessible markup and accessibility testing and validation.
• Comprehensive awareness of current and emerging Web technologies, media and
trends.
