Director, Product Public Relations

FIT: Not looking for marketing folks. Seeking candidates who have experience doing PR for a digital SERVICE that is offered over a network.

Candidates without Product PR experience and/or without digital entertainment service experience will not be a fit.

DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Product Public Relations is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for PR and social media programs across the client platform and its digital services. This position will oversee PR for a new cloud-based TV service.

The Director of Product Public Relations will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and work closely with other divisions and cross-functional teams to garner visibility for growing service portfolio and the entertainment it delivers to millions of people worldwide.

Specific areas of responsibility:
• Platform and message development
• Thought leadership programs for executive staff
• Joint communications programs with other divisions to demonstrate unique features and benefits
• Quarterly PR and Social media plan development
• Industry and event support
• Media relations and spokesperson

Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in a product public relations or corporate communications function, preferably with digital entertainment and services.
Candidate must be an excellent communicator across a range of mediums and have proven experience in generating successful consumer communications programs.
Candidate must also possess strong leadership skills in communicating with senior executives and leading internal teams, external agencies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

A BA/BS Degree is required, preferably in journalism, public relations or communications.
