Director, Global Value and Access Oncology

The Global Market Access Lead, Oncology is responsible for securing the successful global reimbursement of products by creating strong value propositions, pricing strategies and implementing innovative market access tactics. The incumbent will create strategy for profit and pricing for the existing business and future technology platforms. They will evaluate threats and opportunities in key markets rising out of legislation and regulation from government and/or private payers that will restrict access and proactively develop strategies and plans to address the evolving reimbursement environment.

Real World Evidence Generation
• Establish an understanding of burden of illness, unmet need and generate clinical, economic and humanistic evidence to optimize global pricing and reimbursement.
Champion evidence generation and peer reviewed publication strategy in support of demonstrated evidence based medicine and comparative effectiveness. 20%

HEOR and Pricing Input
• Provide global health economic, pricing, reimbursement and market access perspective to product strategies.
• Liaise with International Product teams on the development of health economic and other reimbursement trials. In collaboration with Clinical, Medical Affairs and Regulatory Affairs, develop clinical strategy early in product development that supports broad market access.
• Work with commercial areas and clinical affairs to gather feedback from key opinion leaders and understand global reimbursement pathways; Lead cross functional initiatives and collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical, R&D, Area Market Access and Affiliates to ensure solid understanding of global payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement area and translate reimbursement requirements into product specifications and assess potential reward and risk. 20%

HE and MA Tools
Develop comprehensive tools such as GVD, HE models, publications, to ensure reimbursement and market access 25%

Global Pricing
• Continually update Market Access and Global Launch teams with emerging data, competitive events and payer requirements. Validate payer messaging and utility of deliverables through affiliate feedback and external research.
• Manage global price throughout product lifecycle. Ensure compliance with global floor price and pricing bands; assess changes and market events, whether elective or mandatory, for risk to global pricing strategy.
• Effectively leverage global payer expertise and utilize brand strategy, competitive profiles / positioning, clinical / economic data and stakeholder insights to justify product value. Inform launch strategy and establish pricing guidance for new products, indication/label expansion and emerging markets.
• Establish guidance to Countries and Global Brand Teams to optimize price, access and reimbursement. Leverage global experience and product knowledge to support Areas/Affiliates in addressing market access, price and reimbursement challenges.
Map external payer environment and communicate to internal stakeholders and senior management relevant information regarding the current and future reimbursement landscape of key markets. 20%

Outcomes Research
Design and implement HEOR research and accompanying publication plan. Provide HEOR input to protocols and drug development plans 15%

• A strong first degree in a relevant subject (advanced science degree preferred).
• A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Heath Economics or Health Policy preferred.
• Oncology and Global/Regional Pharmaceuticals experience strongly preferred.
• Significant experience in healthcare reimbursement and health policy
• Understanding and experience of the international political and policy context for market access.
• Demonstrable success in market access across multiple markets.
• Broad knowledge of government and private payer reimbursement , HTA experience required
• Understanding of health care policy
• Strategic understanding of the business and strategic thinking
• Experience working with KOLs, as well as government and private payers
Ability to analyze information and assess risk potential. Understanding of evidence based medicine and study design. Ability to assess impact of reimbursement policies in Oncology.

Must have Global experience, prepared GVDs and Value propositions. Preferably oncology
Work from home flexibility but not 100%.
