Director, Account Management

Well known creative and tech agency in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Account Management to partner with office leadership to grow their business. The ideal candidate will have a background at an agency, consulting, or communications firm with either a track record of sales success or extensive experience in account management. This is a rare opportunity to work with a client base that spans across corporate, nonprofit, and political sectors. Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or account management within an agency, public relations, or communications firm, or directly comparable experience working inside a corporation or institution.

  • Extensive direct experience working within the nonprofit, or corporate vertical, either inside a relevant corporation or institution, or as a vendor or service provider.

  • Proven track record of managing and building relationships with new clients or the ability to retain and grow existing clients.

  • A proven track record of delivering consistent revenue growth.

  • History of consultative sales with large average deal size strongly preferred.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated mentality; driven at all times to meet and exceed goals.

  • Ability to work with all levels within the team and across the organization.

  • Excellent in-person presentation skills, relationship building and experience in contract negotiation.

  • Comfortable with high volume of client interaction both in person and through phone and email.

  • Impeccable ethical standards and professional presence.
