Director- Affluent Credit

Our client is one of the world’s largest payment technology companies, connecting financial institutions, merchants and governments around the world with credit, debit and prepaid products. This is a long-term, 1 year contract position. Candidates must be able to work onsite in during normal business hours Monday through Friday. They are looking for a Director to develop, implement and manage strategies, products and initiatives to drive further growth in the Affluent market segment. This position will focus on developing and managing opportunities within the existing product framework as well as net new initiatives and will both respond to client needs and provide leadership and guidance to client institutions.

• Develop and own the 1-2 year strategy for the Affluent market segment in the Canadian market
• Manage the day to day operation, customer experience and ongoing development of Affluent card products including product requirements and operating regulations
• Lead the affluent concierge vendor relationship, operations and customer experience, developing strategies to increase utilization and optimize service.
• Manage the spend reporting and auditing for Infinite Privilege product
• Identify opportunities and develop strategies and initiatives to optimize existing credit card products and services to drive on going usage and loyalty for the affluent market segment
• Identify new market opportunities and develop new products, services and capabilities that support growth of the affluent market segment
• Evaluate opportunities against a strategic framework incorporating client needs, market opportunity and strategic goals
• Conduct consumer credit research and analytics to analyze the market opportunity and provide insight on payment market, product and cardholder behavior trends and developments
• Deliver ongoing reporting and forecasting at the product level for affluent market segments
• Identify and participate in negotiating alliances/contracts, partnerships with external partners to expand the value proposition and product functionality of consumer credit affluent products
• Work with Regions to leverage and develop credit product solutions for the Canadian market.
• Provide leadership and strong management to contract program manager
• Work with account executives to promote/sell in new products and services and gain client commitment
• Work with marketing to promote new products to current and potential cardholders, media , members, merchants and internal Canada stakeholders
• Evaluate the success of consumer credit card programs and new product/service introductions and identify opportunities for enhancements

Reporting Relationships & Interactions
• Reports to Head of Consumer Credit Products, Canada
• Internal contacts up to North America Head of Products
• Daily interaction with cross functional business areas in the analysis, development and implementation of new products and services. ie legal, marketing, operations
• Regular contact with other region and global counterparts
• Regular external contact with functional managers within Client Issuers and Acquirers
• Regular external contact with key strategic partners, vendors and suppliers

Required Experience
• Min 8 -10 years work experience
• 5 + years in Credit Card industry

Education: Bachelor's Degree
