Direct Marketing Manager: Consumer Credit Cards

Our large financial services client, located in Bridgeport CT, is currently looking for a Marketing Manager with specific experience with managing and executing direct to consumer credit card marketing programs. This is a 6-month contract assignment with possibility for extension.

The Marketing Manger will assist in planning, coordinating and executing marketing programs to support organizational objectives. They will partner with business partners within Marketing, Product and Channel to define, develop and implement innovative direct marketing solutions that will deepen customer relationships and meet business objectives. Programs will be based on a deep understanding of customer needs and will support Credit Card products and services. The marketing manager will also work with external agencies to execute strategies in a fast paced and dynamic corporate environment.

Position Accountabilities:

1.Partner with internal colleagues in Product Marketing to ensure the direct marketing channels are being optimized to support the goal of increased awareness, activation and usage of our credit card products to improve activation, engagement, cross-sell, and retention of credit card holders.

2.Coordinate direct marketing programs including strategy execution, creative development, production and analysis. Use learnings to continue to improve and evolve direct marketing initiatives to be increasingly more efficient and effective.

3.Work with internal and outside agency partners to execute email and direct mail marketing programs, insuring they are implemented on time, on brand, on strategy, and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

4.Manage budgets and forecasts for direct marketing programs

5.Partner with vendors, Systems and Operations support areas to ensure all marketing initiatives are leveraging available technologies and are able to be supported on the backend.

6.Facilitate ongoing status meetings with internal and external partners to ensure all parties are in sync with and accountable for their deliverables to support marketing efforts.

7. Maintain an in-depth understanding of retail and business goals, priorities and challenges to maximize the impact of direct marketing initiatives.


MUST HAVE Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years managing consumer credit card direct marketing programs.
•Experience in email development and execution.
•Strong business and analytical acumen.
•Some experience in financial services, a large corporation and/or a retail environment.
•Knowledge of credit card marketing
•Knowledge of MS Office Suite; specifically Excel and Powerpoint
•Development and implementation of Direct channel initiatives including direct mail, telemarketing, online and e-mail experience
•Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
•Project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion

Hours for the role will be 830AM-5PM; Monday through Friday Interviews will be held in person with hiring manager.
