Direct Marketing Manager

Overview
Our client, an innovative global credit card provider, is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Direct Marketing Manager to join their fast-growing London team. We’re looking for a true self-starter who has hands-on experience of managing acquisition campaigns from end-to-end.

This is a new role, so it’s a great opportunity to mould it to what you want it to be. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with strategy, as well as the implementation of campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and secure sponsorship for the BTL marketing plan that will deliver new accounts targets within agreed marketing spend budget
• Accurate and timely execution of agreed marketing plans in Direct Mail, Email and SMS in a compliant, auditable, well managed and efficient fashion (co-ordinate internal and external suppliers, manage project plans & timelines across print, production, creative and data selections)
• Act as sponsor and key internal customer to roadmap the creative development of communications within the targeted channels; evolve and optimise creative as test results are observed
• Manage and govern all key suppliers critical to the creation and deployment of marketing campaigns (including the significant print partner relationship and a roster of creative agencies)
• Collaborate with peer managing ATL marketing campaigns (DRTV, Search & Display) to ensure integration and consistency between ATL and BTL campaigns
• Develop own skills and knowledge to become SME in this space

Essential Criteria
• Previous experience in a direct marketing function
• Proven experience in delivering multiple campaigns in a high pressured environment
• Ability to flex plans reflecting internal or external changes
• Pro-activity & keen problem solver
• Good organisation & planning skills, attention to detail
• Experience managing print partners
• Process driven
• Excellent interpersonal skills – oral/written communication, collaboration and influencing skills
• Team player

Desirable Criteria
• Experience managing creative agencies
• Experience in Financial Services or Credit Card Acquisition
• Experience operating in a regulated industry
