Direct Marketing / Email Marketing Associate

Our client is the global leader in digital marketing and digital media solutions. Their tools and services enable our customers to create groundbreaking digital content, deploy it across media and devices, measure and optimize it over time, and achieve greater business success. Our client helps customers make, manage, measure and monetize their digital content across every channel and screen.

Currently, they are looking for a Direct Marketing / Email Marketing Associate who can manage and execute worldwide Demand Marketing/Database Marketing email campaigns and initiatives.

This person will be responsible for:
• Email creation and delivery
• Working with product teams and agencies to create and deliver relevant emails to the marketing database
• Working with product group to determine feature content and appropriate calls-to-action
• Working with internal creative team and external agencies to create appropriate graphics while following brand guidelines
• Defining segments and localization needs as well as defining the lists to be pulled for each segment mailing
• Editing content appropriately for segment audiences
• Creating and implementing email tracking codes (samcaps) in all links to track results through Omniture
• Managing schedules and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
• Reviewing and testing all emails before they are sent
• Working closely with EMEA agencies to determine level of localization, and to ensure localizations and translations are done as needed.
• Pulling and analyzing data and reports for send, open and CTR (click through rates) to determine success of email program
• Contact management: work with Relationship Marketing teams to ensure the audiences receive the proper amount of communication and that the communications are relevant to that audience.
• Monitor the unsubscribe, bounce back, open and CTR of communications to ensure health and accuracy of the audience being targeted.
• Working with program managers and other cross functional teams

Experience needed:
• 5 – 7 years of applicable marketing experience
• 4 years minimum experience in Direct Marketing
• Database marketing experience – Know how to segment audience by various criteria. Is able to understand setting up hierarchy for list pulls to ensure we get the correct customers/prospects.
• Experience creating and delivering emails to worldwide audience. This includes: experience with regional preferences, best practices for layout and length, awareness of typical response rates and behaviors, adding codes for tracking for CTR.
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and pull and consolidate reports
• Experience with Omniture web analytics, Business Objects reporting, Exact Target email tracking, and Leadertech trigger email tracking a plus
• Ability to test and review content
• Ability to work across many agencies, product groups and countries
• Familiar with PowerPoint to pull together slides
• Comfortable presenting to small audiences

• Minimum BA unless applicant has equivalent required work experience

• This is a 12 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located onsite in San Jose, CA
• This position is not eligible for telecommute or offsite work
