Great opportunity to join a globally renown 'best of British' luxury brand as a digital web designer. You will be passionate about luxury retail and finely executed, engaging digital design work.

Job summary:
Working with a Senior Digital Designer on all digital design elements of the brand globally including, web design, page management; display advertising and email design creating customer focused creative content for the brands global digital platforms on time and to exceptional quality standard.

Answer digital elements of the creative briefs generated that are in line with brand strategy and commercial targets, and enhance user experience.

Drive the development of the corporate identity, brand visual identity and tone of voice work across all digital design areas, ensuring effective positioning of key brand equities to elevate the brand and become a recognisable style which is ownable and inspires consumers to buy.

Act as guardian of the brand, by ensuring all elements of brand equity are used in a manner that is appropriate, consistent and always in line with the aspirations as outlined in the brand and design strategies.

Deliver excellent quality design work, on time and on budget to ensure the success of business growth across multi-channels, globally.
Key Responsibilities
Create pixel perfect and engaging assets for the global E-Commerce platforms (including updating homepages, category landing pages and editorial pages on a weekly basis as well as contributing to full website builds).
Produce weekly HTML creative for display advertising and email design which reflects brand guidelines and satisfies commercial objectives.
Liaise with Global brand management and E-Commerce to ensure creative directions are coherent, and can be implemented efficiently and successfully ensuring that site design enhances customer usability and improves commercial performance.
Act as brand guardian and manage the use of the name, logo, marks, visual identity and key equities in all digital.
Be accountable for constant measurement of digital design effectiveness across all touch points adapting and improving to grow engagement, click through and conversion.
Regularly monitor competitor activity from a design and functionality perspective, and report new developments or innovations back into the team.
Drive the implementation of new ways of working with Ecommerce and CRM following processes established by the Senior Digital Designer, Creative Services.
Manage your own workload, in conjunction with and following timelines established by Senior Digital Designer, Creative Services, CRM and E-Commerce to ensure all work is delivered on time, on brand, within budget and to the expected high standard.
Keep abreast of new web technologies and advances in E-Commerce web design (e.g. Ajax, HMTL5, video) and identify opportunities to apply these wherever possible.

Essential Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years’ in E-Commerce design
Established and proven digital design skill, with a strong varied folio showing multiplatform design and experience within a retail/transactional environment.
An understanding of search engine marketing principles
Expertise in Adobe CS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XHTML, Dreamweaver, Flash or comparable alternatives
Experience with at least one content management system
An excellent sense of visual and online user interface design, including strong typesetting skills
Experience of being a brand guardian
Determined to deliver projects on time and to exceed the quality expectations
Able to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects at any time, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Ability to take direction as well as initiate new designs and concepts independently
Work well and speedily under pressure
Obsessively customer focused and able to connect with customer lifestyles
Meticulous attention to detail
Sound understanding of the commercial objectives underlying site creative and design
Team player, good inter-personal skills
Familiar with online user experience testing.

Desirable skills:
Design experiences based on qualitative and quantitative insights
Experience of working within the luxury sector
Experience of A/B/Multivariate testing
Design experience in conversion rate optimisation.
Experience with ATG commerce platform.
Understanding and experience with coremetrics, or other web analytics solutions.
Mobile web and/or app experience.
