Digital Strategist

Our agency client is seeking a digital strategist to join their team.

As a part of the Strategy and Planning team, you will use deep working knowledge of digital platforms, audience behavior and insight to develop unique digital strategies that bring the brand platform to life. A great candidate should have a good mix of skills: Digital Strategy, Channel Planning, Digital Ecosystem development, Social Media, Content Strategy, Analytics, user research/focus groups, and information architecture and user experience. Ideally you will bring an understanding of brand strategy into the mix, as well. Importantly, you need to be constantly looking at the latest trends and research, understanding how they apply to different audiences and industries. You’ll be helping to concept websites, develop social strategy, create content-driven campaigns, build out digital channel strategies, and identify unique creative strategies for bringing the brand to life across multiple digital platforms.

-Capable of conducting and informing qualitative research and focus groups.
-Strong understanding of application of brand strategy in digital strategy.
-Ability to present analytics in a compelling and easily-understood way.
-Attention to detail and the ability to speak up when something is amiss.
-Confident presenter (even when the client throws you a curveball)
-Knowledge of how to turn a brand strategy into a digital campaign
-Strong knowledge of content-driven marketing and social strategy
-Ability to conduct competitive analysis (UX, social, digital strategy)
-Easily identify insights and communicate in a logical way to clients.
-Ability to define metrics, and align on campaign goals.
-Knowing how to play the long-game to get the client comfortable with a big idea
-Able to work with a variety of levels of digital knowledge (and budgets!)

Things You Might Be Doing
-Conduct audience research and trend analysis to develop ownable digital strategies
-Developing and executing client worksessions and workshops
-Develop social strategies and optimize existing strategies
-Gather user requirements and business requirements, and develop winning strategies where they intersect
-Develop creative briefs for website/app concepts
-Tracking effectiveness across channels to make client recommendations
-Presenting high-level analytics presentations and identifying areas for optimization
-Competitive audits across multiple channels
-Leading development of digital concepts (website, apps, social campaigns)
-Maintain awareness and understanding of emerging digital and social media trends and best-in-class tactics being used by others, as well as look for opportunities to innovate and develop existing communities, particularly within employer branding

Experience
-Minimum 5+ years in digital strategy, content strategy social media, online marketing, digital media, community management or brand marketing, public relations, and/or advertising.
-Deep knowledge of UX, Analytics, and/or Content Strategy a massive plus
-Consistent client-facing experience in presenting concepts and advising on long-term strategy
-Strong eye for design and the ability to partner well with creative and account (it’s not a huge team, so our skills often cross over)
-Strong understanding of social media landscape including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Snapchat YouTube, Periscope, Google+, etc.
-Degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Business, preferred, but not necessary.
