Digital Sales Engagement Manager

Firebrand continues to support the online transformation of this particular tier one organisation and is pleased to be partnering with the senior management team on this newly created position within their eBusiness unit.

This role is pivotal to the ongoing understanding and interpretation of evolving customer needs. To meet and exceed the customers expectations through digital you’ll drive forward online acquisition strategies created from your understanding of customer journeys in a transactional environment that ultimately result in a product “sale” and conversion. You’ll also focus upon retention strategies orientating around the products lifecycle, making the most of cross channel sales opportunities.

By applying customer insight from behavioural understanding you’ll create the digital “sales” experience and supporting capability that enables customers to discover, purchase, and continue to spend via their preferred digital device.

Leveraging data, reporting and insights you’ll collaborate with Customer Experience, Marketing, and Sales and Service to define, establish and enhance customer sales journeys across all channels, developing the strategy, proposition, and road map capable of not only driving customer value but also business results, proactively informing this performance to the business at every key step of the way.

Further collaboration with self service and mobile will see additional customer conversion as you seek out opportunities relevant to cross sell, new business and referral. Again working closely with customer experience to align these strategies with the overall purchase cycle. You’ll be the leader when it comes to channel engagement so as to ensure consistency, continuity, interoperability and capability as well as providing subject matter expertise relevant to online sales strategy considerate of journey paths and UX.

This newly created role will allow you to bring your forward thinking ideas to the table and confidentially support the business cases you develop. In this role you’ll have the pleasure of working with and being mentored by some of the smartest and most progressive corporate sector senior managers and heads of department around. Their track records certainly speak volumes about their ability to bring about significant online transformations that positions digital at the forefront of strategic thinking and operational delivery.

Ideally suited to a dynamic and commercially focused eCommerce professional with 8 to 10 years experience operating at management level within a complex and highly competitive industry sector where at least 4 years recent experience spans strategic online sales initiatives, the development of customer journeys, and considerable conversion results for both acquisition and retention.

You’ll be one to challenge the conventional way of thinking, one to create a new status quo, you’ve your finger on the digital pulse and are very much the subject matter expert when it comes to online conversion sales strategy.

This is not however an online marketing role – while marketing is a consideration the focus of this role is commercial; strategies are geared towards sales at every step of the way with customer conversion being the ultimate goal.
