Digital Project Manager (Wealth Management)

As our client asks “as Baby Boomers pass the torch of “largest generation” to the Millennials, will the younger generation have the same financial opportunities for growth?” In part, that is what this role as Digital Project Manager will help influence at this global financial services firm and a market leader in wealth management, securities, asset management and credit services.

This career defining opportunity is a long-term/open ended contract/ freelance, onsite in NYC (midtown), 40 hours a week. As a key member of the Marketing’s Digital Strategy team, you will report to and collaborate with VP, Program Manager to strategize, plan, track and oversee the Wealth Management digital projects such as re-branding initiatives and “soup-to-nuts” web development management for this client as well as partnership clients.

Role:
• Work with appropriate team resources to drive requirements definition and scope of work
• Develop actionable project schedules - clearly identifying: key milestones, deliverables, outcomes; dependencies; effort/durations; resources
• Maintain project schedules - tracking baseline against actuals as well as identify and drive resolution of issues and risks
• Collaborate across Wealth Management business units, development teams, analytics team, and legal & compliance
• Prioritizes work so not only the most urgent work is completed, but also the most important
• Maintain a clear and reasonable vision of "next steps" and the "big picture"
• Hold weekly project meetings and author weekly production status reports

Requirements:
• 5 years in a project management role (financial service industry experience is a plus), with excellent technical skills; 2+ years within a digital marketing or operations team
• BS in Marketing, Business or related studies
• Able to enjoy heavy internal client interfacing, manage large resources across many groups, such as UX, Project Management, Legal, Creative, Production
• Must be able to multitask, be polished, organized, have a thoughtful professional approach with strong verbal and written communication skills, be ‘pro-active’ vs. ‘reactive’
