Digital Project Manager

Vitamin T's client, a national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Digital Project Manager for a temp opportunity that could lead to long term for the right person.

Position Summary

Vitamin T's cient is looking for a Director, Digital Program/Project Manager to drive cross-functional project
teams, project budgets and project schedules. Individuals in this role must demonstrate the ability to work on
marketing initiatives encompassing both digital and print deliverables, with specific experience project managing
website redesigns and partnering with internal teams to deliver campaign management solutions on behalf of
program and service units.
Individuals in this role should have experience in defining, planning, scheduling and controlling project activities,
applying creative and strategic thinking and technical and project management skills to satisfy project
requirements and should be able to anticipate and independently address issues as they arise.

Essential Functions
• Accountable for the execution, management and quality control of multiple projects from concept to
completion, ensuring client satisfaction, meeting all timeline milestones and delivering within approved
budgets; proactively communicates with clients about production recommendations, risks, challenges,
and solutions.
• Coordinates collaboration amongst key campaign stakeholders and the Communications & Marketing
(CM) group in the production of a variety of collateral.
• Ensures that all design matters including branding guidelines and review; adhering to project schedules
and coordinating with other departments/consultants to manage the creation of all project deliverables.
• Drive integrated collaboration and execution across a matrix of business units to bring digital products to
market and achieve business objectives.
• Manages assigned digital projects to ensure that site content is current and accurate, acting both as an
individual contributor and by leading or directing the work of other functional staff.
• Reviews and critiques deliverables prepared by team before passing on to program and service unit
project leads.
• Develops new sites within established technical guidelines in support of digital marketing and other
initiatives, ensuring new sites align with overarching strategic direction; creates detailed project
requirements through discussions and meetings with internal project team members across all
departments, including functional specifications, creative briefs, and wireframes.
• Exercises independent judgment and creatively addressing issues and ambiguous situations as they arise
to ensure that sites are maintained at a high level of accuracy and quality and support the organization’s
holistic digital strategy.
• Employs a proactive approach toward project management, identifying needs that clients may not
recognize, ensuring that approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs.
• Serves as a main client interface on projects, clarify strategic requirements, explain complex ideas clearly,
and manage expectations
• Serve as point of escalation both internally and with clients on specific, key projects or accounts
• Ability to qualify innovative ideas with top-notch research and industry knowledge
• Collaborates with print production team to ensure that campaign theme is distributed to all campaign
tactics.
• Serve as a champion for the digital marketing strategy and effectively communicate with senior leadership
the importance of digital strategy to drive business growth and gain buy in to support program
implementation.
• Build consensus across multiple parties to effectively implement and improve digital programs.
• Work closely with business and technology teams in developing a cohesive digital offering strategy that
leverages our content and delivers the best digital products to our audiences.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 5-7 years of hands-on project management/producing experience in the digital space.
• Agency experience required.
• Experience in a client services/account management role preferred.
• Experience managing Web technology, back-end, application and hosting-related projects as well as
mobile, social, SEO and marketing campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications
• Advanced, hands-on experience in one or more aspects of digital production and digital product
management.
• Advanced, hands-on experience in one or more aspects of user experience research and design.
• Ability to review and critique creative work and to recommend how work should be produced to deliver
the best quality product within budget.
• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management. Experience managing blended teams of
internal, freelance, and agency staff.
• Demonstrated ability to lead concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
• Experience using content management software, specifically Drupal.
• Experience optimizing content and sites for a range of digital devices, including mobile and tablet.
• Strong customer service orientation, with an ability to clearly discern client needs.
• Understanding of accessibility standards as they relate to digital content production and familiarity with
accessible markup and accessibility testing and validation.
• Comprehensive awareness of current and emerging Web technologies, media and trends.
• Experience leading Agile teams

• Competencies in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, bug tracking, wiki and other related project
management and common communications tools is required
• PMP and other project management certifications a plus
• Agile experience and certifications a plus
• Membership in professional associations a plus
• Experience in the education sector a plus
