Digital Project Manager

The position’s key responsibility is to manage medium- to large-scale websites and rich media/video projects. The right person is self-motivated and detail oriented, with the ability to multitask. This person should be well-versed in the full website development process (from strategy to implementation), understand enough about website technologies in order to clearly define and manage project scope, as well as provide insight and support for online strategies.

The Interactive Project Manager works closely with our Account, Strategy, IT and Creative teams to foster clear and frequent communications between the teams, the client and third parties. Must have Project Management skills in order to keep projects on track and on budget for the client, and profitable for the firm – accountable for successful project delivery.

This role is responsible for providing a high level of client service and to ensure that we are consistently exceeding the client’s expectations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are therefore required, and an ability to manage multiple projects is essential.

Responsibilities:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Develop scoping documents, cost estimates, project schedules and technical requirements for each interactive project
Gather scoping needs directly from clients
Manage and negotiate third party contributors
Manage project profitability and timelines – keep other team members informed of changes when necessary
Manage implementation and timeliness of all deliverables promised to clients
Follow internal processes and standards to ensure quality and smooth execution
Monitor project profitability, and create and present change orders when necessary
Gather necessary materials, content and other related information in order to stay ahead of client deadlines and achieve superior results
Hold regular project team meetings
Review, test and proof deliverables prepared by team before client presentations
Collaborate with Strategic Team on development of online strategy and programs as well as marketing and communications plans
Be a resource for technical questions surrounding CMS’s databases and application development
Interact with clients on a regular basis – in person and over telephone
SALES SUPPORT
Work with Creative and Account Team to continually identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing client base
Provide proposal support by actively participating in sales process presentations and proposal documentation
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Manage internal web developer utilization, productivity and training/mentoring
Attend staff meetings and communicate team information
Hold regular Web team status meetings


Requirements:

Minimum of 4-6 years experience in account service, project management or related technical role on either the client- or agency-side, plus a Bachelor’s Degree
Working knowledge of web and application development (including CMS and databases) web design and digital marketing. Programming skills are not required.
Direct experience managing website projects and development teams (Agile Scrum project management experience a plus.).
Experience developing project briefs, proposals, spec and functionality documents, flowcharts, and cost estimates
Ability to multi-task, managing several projects simultaneously while providing regular feedback and support to the team
Professional experience in high-level, corporate client interaction
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter individual who thrives in a busy environment
High proficiency of the Microsoft Office suite. Macintosh knowledge preferred
Excellent verbal, quantitative and presentation skills
