Digital Project Manager

Vitamin T's client is looking for an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with a strong background in web software development. The PM will be responsible for the management and execution of all of the client's web properties, including website and other online applications, work closely with our Creative Director, CTO, and CPO, and will manage a team of both internal and contract talent that includes front— and back-end programmers, developers, and designers. This position reports directly to our Creative Director.

Key Responsibilities

— Work with business owners to create project plans

— Contribute to the scheduling and budgeting process

— Ensure that contributors are prepared to begin work at each phase

— Manage the execution of projects against established timetables and budgets

— Maintain master documents, including Gantt Charts, timetables, and project documentation

— Monitor progress from all contributors

— Identify bottlenecks and scheduling issues, and work with stakeholders to propose course-corrections

— Make project recommendations to help achieve project objectives

— Create RFPs, and contribute to the selection and orientation of contractors

— Track all deliverables from outside contractors, scheduling and conducting work reviews, and communicating feedback from project owners

— Maintain up-to-date knowledge of web technologies, development practices, software methodologies, and project management techniques

— Participate in post-mortems to improve the process


— Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

— Minimum of five years experience in project management within the web software or SaaS space

— Absolute fluency with at least two project scheduling software packages (e.g. Omnniplan) for creating critical path models, Gantt Charts, and project schedules

— Fluency with at least two project management software packages (e.g. Basecamp) for assigning tasks and tracking deliverables

— Proficiency with issue tracking software (e.g. JIRA) for monitoring bugs, and software version control systems (e.g. BitBucket, Github) for managing software distributions

— Experience in the development process of existing technologies and a comfort with getting up to speed on emerging technologies

— Fluency in current development best practices
