Digital Project Manager

Aquent's client, an American multinational technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a UX Program Manager for a 12–month assignment.
Pay: Up to 90/hr. DOE

The User Experience (UX) Program Manager is responsible for operational excellence of a dynamic, growing UX team. In this role, you’ll combine expert knowledge of project management best practices with a passion for user experience to help your team design how billions of users interact with our products. As a Program Manager, you will help facilitate all project-related communications to team members, leaders and other stakeholders. This job requires you to be an expert planner and a flexible thinker who can balance multiple objectives and teams in multiple locations.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
1. In partnership with UX Lead project, manage UX tactical efforts including work breakdown and capacity planning
2. Status reporting and communications on critical projects
3. Risk-assessment and action planning of tasks based shifting priorities of cross-functional team and business needs

Additional Responsibilities:
- Facilitate team communication and decision-making.
- Work directly with design leads to shape team goals and guide key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of teams and approval processes.
- Ensure that design teams deliver work that meets high standards of quality and builds trust across teams and functional areas.
- Clearly communicate with cross-functional team leads and senior management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in any field or at least 4 years equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years experience managing interactive, design, or creative projects (across multiple platforms a plus).
- Proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems. Working knowledge of project management software. Proficient with spreadsheets or similar and Google Docs.
- Great Communication Skills, including killer notes, info dissemination, writing, meeting/project facilitation, and reporting (team, external, managing up).
- Thorough knowledge of user-centered design process and product development process.
- Thrives when challenged with vague/undefined program/project scope and is scrappy, creative, and strategic when proposing solutions for both strategic programs and operational initiatives.
- Effective engagement w/external agencies and 3rd parties - schedule, reviews, deliverables, budget
- Solid project management skills, including knowledge-based prioritization, scoping, resourcing, planning, time management, building/applying structure, managing ambiguity, risk identification and solution development.
- 3+ years of experience managing interactive, design, or creative projects as part of a UX team.
- A strong sense of focus and excellent attention to detail while working in a very fast-paced, changing environment.

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:
- Experience operating in large scale corporate environments as well as design agencies.
