Digital Production Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Production Designer!

This person will help extend and translate established designs through to production and provide coordination between design and developers to facilitate the accurate implementation of the design groups work. This is an opportunity to work on an industry leading, retail and online-based product line for a heavily trafficked financial services company. Your work will be translated across all interactive platforms - web, mobile, tablet, SMS, social media channels and other Internet connected platforms. This position entails a range of production work from building out additional pages for a number of web sites to cutting up and optimizing graphics for our development team

We need an ambitious self-starter, team player and detail-oriented professional who is at ease in a start-up environment managing multiple projects at once within tight deadlines. The role requires a balance of meticulous attention to pixel-perfect details, strong organization and productivity. Another key skill is the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to overcome logistical challenges in order to deliver complete, quality work on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interpret and extend existing designs for interactive communications across entire sites and campaigns.
Take direction from department leadership, including documenting detailed requirements, and asking questions to clarify assignments.
Work closely with designers and developers to insure that the designs are properly built and implemented.
Be open to integrate feedback through an iterative development process.
Work with marketing and other departments to clarify and organize content.
Be an evangelist for the User Experience discipline, effectively communicating solid UX and design principles.
Work with other designers, engineers and QA to ensure the final product meets design specs.
Effectively communicate across technology, sales and business departments

REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years as a web production designer
An expert eye for the little details that make or break a great experience
Ability to understand business/branding objectives as well as user goals and apply that understanding to develop/extend the web site to meet them
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of current browser technical requirements across digital platforms
Ability to manage complex requirement sets and input from multiple departments
Ability to switch rapidly from one project/brand to another as workflow requires, and work on multiple projects at once
Must work well independently
Proficient with CS6, Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of web color theory, file types and compression and CMS-based web development environments
Experience working in a mid-size corporate environment
Other related duties as assigned
