Digital Production Artist

A leading North American Retailer comprised of three of the retail industry's most iconic brands is seeking a Digital Production Artist.

The Production Artist delivers on brand assets for weekly digital marketing communications. The assets created by the Production Artist should visually express the tone of the brand and specific business/usability needs as defined by the Associate Director, creative/project briefs and brand/visual style guide standards.

Creative Responsibilities/Objectives - 60% of time
• Understand brand/visual style guides to ensure integration across channels and overall brand consistency
• Collaborate with the Editorial Design team to produce compelling digital solutions that:
− align with all requirements and business objectives outlined in project initiation documentation
− are delivered with brand compliance
• Under supervision, collaborate with business partners to produce user-centered designs
• Work with design teams to create final assets to deliver to development across all platforms

Process Responsibilities/Objectives - 25% of time
• Utilize workflow process and technology to ensure quality delivery of work product on an ongoing basis
• Communicate obstacles and improvement opportunities within workflow processes to the Associate Director
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Perform quality-assurance procedures on all weekly deliverables as defined by workflow process
• Ensure all electronic files are built responsibly (smallest size, proper naming conventions, error free), and achieve error-free work

Secondary Goals
This list should not include accountabilities requiring more than 15% of time.

Team Responsibilities/Objectives - 10% of time
• Share digital design knowledge with internal creative team
• Support corporate culture, values and mission
• Communicate and respond to team members in a professional manner and contribute to environment that is efficient, proactive, and team oriented
• Work with the Creative Manager to define yearly and quarterly personal goals and team objectives


Technology Management Responsibilities/Objectives - 5% of time
• Utilize workflow technologies that support the creative team (i.e. workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM, dynamic collateral creation/DCC)
• Stay updated in appropriate and latest software (Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, Microsoft Office)
• Provide feedback to Associate Director about changes and enhancements needed to software and technology to reflect current trends and needs

• Strong communication, organizational and people skills
• Strong project and time-management skills
• Excellent design sense

• Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding of components, cycle times, production and distribution requirements of digital creative deliverables
• Awareness of technologies that support creative team (workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM, dynamic collateral creation/DCC)
