Digital Product Manager (Mobile)

The digital/mobile team is responsible for the nation’s leading mobile payment program, eGift card program, and driving payments and gifting product growth and innovation across all digital channels: mobile, web, social, and emerging technologies. In this role, you will partner with leading innovators like Facebook, iTunes, and more.

This job contributes to success by leading the development of new products and product-related marketing opportunities across web, mobile, and emerging digital channels. Develops strategic assessments for products and communicates those to partners and leadership, analyzes and reports on the digital business, develops marketing plans and engages resources to deliver on them, and manages product performance against operating plans and budgets to achieve financial and business objectives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Business Management:
• Leads cross-functional project teams to deliver strategic recommendations and/or marketing programs
• Builds strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure achievement of business objectives as well as marketing message consistency and adherence to brand guardrails.
• Evaluates information and identifies issues that require escalation.
• Creates and presents the business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets. Makes recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging, and product lifecycle. May provide information and direction for planning, forecasting and managing inventories.
• Supports qualitative and quantitative research to develop key findings and recommended actions (e.g. develops proforma models and runs sensitivities).
• Establishes and maintains processes to ensure effective and timely development and execution of programs within defined budget constraints.
• Merges trends and other primary and secondary forms of research with fact based business insights to arrive at sound strategic recommendations. Uses data to tell a logical story.

Marketing & Promotions:
• Collaborates with the Company's Retail marketing organization to coordinate and execute advertising and promotions that support and are consistent with company-wide marketing and brand goals and objectives.
• Tracks, analyzes and communicates product and program performance. Recommends action plans to address variances in brand performance against annual plan.
• Develops and manages multi-channel, integrated marketing plans for promotions, brand initiatives, or product.
• Creates and/or provides input to recommendations regarding marketing plan objectives, strategy, messaging, marketing mix, and tactics.
• Leads consumer research to define customer targets and marketing mix. Applies insights to make decisions regarding brand direction.


Summary of Experience:
• Product or brand management experience (5 years)
• Passion for technology and digital media
• Project leadership in a cross-functional environment
• MBA preferred
