Digital Product Manager

Firebrand are excited to be partnering with this exciting digital led business for the search for a Digital Product Manager.

This role manages and develops a portfolio of digital products and services to deliver on business objectives and audience needs. You will partner with business stakeholders and the digital delivery manager to develop and execute the digital product roadmap, which means you will manage and optimise existing digital products and services, and develop new products to generate audience and revenue, and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

1. Develop, manage and deliver longer-term roadmap, aligning it to audience needs and revenue opportunities
2. Manage, optimise and develop the existing digital products to meet audience needs and business metrics through:
• Continual optimisation of usability and features
• Deep understanding of user behaviour (site metrics), audience needs and wants (research and analysis), and the business strategy.
• Identify, understand and champion the needs of the audience and work to connect these with business objectives.
• Report on product development status, and on key site metrics including traffic, engagement, transactions and other relevant KPIs.
3. Custodian / advocate for products:
• Contribute to product strategy that positions the business in the market to maximise audiences and revenues.
• Develop the site vision and user experience, and align it to customer, brand and commercial objectives.
• Provide expert knowledge of digital channels and the broader digital landscape – including different ways of conceiving, testing and launching digital products and services - to the business.
• Communicate ongoing successes, issues and insights to drive overall improvements.

Product Development

• Analysis of market, audiences, competitors and trends to identify new opportunities and ensure they are relevant, sustainable and audience-focused.
• Application of lean start-up and agile product management principles
• Development of product features / benefits and value propositions.
• Identify and recommend strategic partners / key suppliers, and negotiate terms.
• Develop and manage rollout plans for new product releases or enhancements
including communication to all stakeholders and consumers.
• Champion vision for the product to internal stakeholders and gain buy-in and
resources required to meet strategic goals.

Desired experience

• 5+ years’ experience working from strategy to produce roadmaps and launch digital projects, either as Product owner
Production manager / Studio manager or Project Manager
• Experience in influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Leadership skills
• Experience working with agile methodology (requirements gathering, Sprint planning).
• Experience with rapid development and prototyping.
• Experience in entrepreneurial/ Start up environment.
• Budget and financial management experience.
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Decision making skills (ability to deliver results, managing and implementing
