Digital Product Manager

The Manager of Digital Production at this global youth oriented apparel brand, owns the execution and lifecycle of all digital projects and channels that support the Brand, a 13+ MM community of brand loyalists. The Manager will translate business objectives into clear and actionable work plans, while driving alignment of strategic and operational objectives, and communication with key leadership partners. The Manager will oversee the timely execution of all initiatives and efforts for the Brand's digital marketing teams in response to creative briefs, and craft and maintain the Brand's roadmaps to effectively manage and organize departmental resources and priorities. S/he will also drive clear optimization and documentation of the Brand's processes to establish repeatability and results-oriented execution. This Manager will possess a hunger for data, technology and innovation. Above all, s/he will possess a passion for creating interactive experiences that build the brand and exceed targets. Reports to the Director, Production.

• Manages all activity within the the Brand's mobile application. Executes a robust app roadmap of activities to support marketing, technical and business objectives. Drives consensus on priorities, scope and work plan approach on a quarterly basis.
• Owns production work streams for the Brand's .com, managing lifecycle of all Brand projects. Establishes realistic and clear project plans, estimates and timelines. Identifies technology and design resource requirements and deliverables.
• Manages requirements for creative and technical deliverables among internal, cross-functional and external partners. Adjusts plans based on changing business needs, load-balances schedules and resources accordingly. Drives initiatives to timeline and budget, and effectively manage project scope.
• Strategic participant in holistic planning conversations to define the Brand's evolution and growth plan.
• Manages expectations and drives internal resolution between the Brand project teams and senior management/leadership stakeholders.
• Architects repeatable processes across functional and cross-functional work streams. Develops and manages the processes for creative production and resourcing standards. Leads and actively participates in hindsight meetings and implements opportunities for improvement. Drives and executes clear documentation of the Brand's process.
• Ability to collaborate and negotiate with teams and partners to drive project success: Partners include Digital Experience, Creative, Web Operations/I.T., Merchandising, Marketing, Analytics, Publishing, and external vendors.
• Identifies and manages 3rd party vendors to execute vision with fidelity.
• Builds architectural and interaction maps as needed to illustrate user flow and creative/technical design.
• Ensures that design/usability accurately reflects project scope and ensures optimal usability/customer experience. Recommend and intake usability requests to gain insight on initiatives from the customer perspective pre- and post-launch.
• Provide leadership to the the Brand's digital production team. Develop team members through continuous coaching, feedback and encouragement.
• Anticipates and mitigates risks and issues. Identifies issues pre- and post-launch. Accountable for seeing issues through to resolution. Owns the end-to-end quality assurance of the Brand's .com and the the Brand's app.
• Initiate analytics and test requests, monitor and report on performance to drive insights and program optimization.
• Accountable for the management of the Brand's .com and app updates through a CMS, as well as routing. Participates in delivery, staging and validation of content.


• Demonstrated leadership in cross-channel product management coupled with a strategic orientation 
• Demonstrated leadership in team and performance management with proven talent growth experience
• Experience owning and evolving platforms, products and/or brand loyalty experiences
• Experience leading large technology integration/migration initiatives with multiple internal and external partners
• Track record of employing best practices to deliver world-class application, mobile and desktop design, interaction, usability & social experiences 
• Experience with managing apps/websites on multiple mobile OS
• Experience within the retail landscape preferred
• Some knowledge of IA and UX best practices 
• Self-directed, detail oriented problem solver with big picture orientation
• Skillful in creative problem solving, negotiating and resolving conflict 
• Ability to stay organized while prioritizing multiple tasks and projects 
• Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
• Ability to work off-hours when necessary to meet deadlines
• Analytical thinker with a hunger for data


• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
• 5 to 8 years of related leadership experience in digital production.
• Full understanding of digital processes as they relate to project management.
• Proven success managing people, resources, and schedules.
• Proven success delegating, managing and mentoring staff.
• Ability to garner buy in and partnership from senior management across departments.
• Knowledge of production processes.
• Ability to seek results, while remaining highly collaborative and flexible.
• Ability to lead, motivate and challenge a talented production team and inspire confidence and respect.
• Excellent client relationship skills; adept at working in larger organizations.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, JIRA and Sharepoint
• Experience with Content Management Systems
• Experience with Agile and Lean UX development methodologies, experience with geographically distributed teams preferred.


• Must be able to see and communicate to effectively carry out duties.
• Excellent command of the English language

REPORTS TO: Director, Production

STAFF RESPONSIBILITES: Freelance and/or Full-time reports

LOCATION/TRAVEL: New York based. Overnight travel to in USA on occasion.
