Digital Product Manager

Our client is a global business-to-business exhibition organiser and media publisher With offices in London, Amsterdam, New York, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles. They currently have 22 clients in multiple specialist markets including security, chemical ingredients and customer management.

Role:
The role of Digital Product Manager is very hands-on as they manage our clients digital product projects, work closely with brands and development teams to deliver our client’s core platforms, continuously ensure high quality through testing, troubleshooting and resolve site issues.

The talent should be a process-orientated, autonomous, well-organised multitasker with excellent time management skills and an aptitude for solution delivery and problem solving. Client facing skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with our client’s clients in determining their digital product needs as version one of our client’s digital product becomes more sophisticated.

Responsibilities:
• Become an expert user of our client’s content management systems (Drupal)
• Support the central product team by determining, agreeing and writing user stories for development through the established Agile development cycles
• Manage and prioritise backlog for each 2 week Agile sprint cycle. Estimates will need to be made for development and the roadmap.
• Testing and supporting the release of new functionality
• Work with our teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical problems and developments, arranging training sessions where appropriate. Preempting problems and foresight is key!

Requirements:
• IT/digital or marketing qualifications together with appropriate experience working in the online sector
• Understanding of a variety of programmes and languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML (troubleshooting and advising, not designing)
• Knowledge and experience of analytics tools (Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics)
• Knowledge of best practice for SEO site design
• Understanding of usability guidelines
• Experience with Salesforce is a big plus. CMM too.
• Understanding of how businesses can make use of social media to meet their objectives
• Experience managing Open Source CMS driven sites using software (Drupal, Wordpress) is a big plus
• Extensive Agile experience
