Digital PM-Multi channel sales

Job Purpose

To plan, manage and deliver one or more Digital projects, ensuring all activities meet business needs, are

delivered to a high quality standard, on brand and within delivery timeframes and budget

Principle responsibilities

• Assume accountability for delivery and responsibility to communicate back to the project lead or

project team

• Identify and manage risks & issues; clearly communicate options upwards to drive efficient decision

making.

• Develop, own and produce estimates and schedules for all work to be undertaken, prior to

commencement of work, and publish timely updates for delivery ensuring all stakeholders are kept up

to date throughout the project life cycle and customer expectations are managed

• Understand requirements, analyse business needs and ensure they are communicated clearly

through written documents and verbally to delivery team

• Ensure project can be delivered with available resource, or secure additional resource if required, and

within budget

• Raise changes to scope, resource, budget or timings and communicate impact in a timely manner

• Ensure appropriate resource is in place throughout project lifecycle

• Be hands on and provide leadership and direction to manage delivery within the Digital team, working

with user experience, design, copy, development and analytics teams and other business areas

to ensure best possible site implementation

• Be involved in the creative process, briefings, debates and ongoing reviews to help ensure we

produce the best product possible and work effectively within technical restraints

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure best possible solution and quality and timely delivery

• Ensure all work is thoroughly tested and, if required, documented for future reference

• Put our customers at the heart of everything you do – it’s your job to ensure the changes being

delivered create an excellent online customer experience

Required key skills

• Extensive experience in the end to end production of large scale digital projects with an

appreciation of the likely sources of problems and options to improve the situation

• Experienced in parallel running more than one project

• Highly experienced and effective in working with cross-functional virtual business teams and

ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

• Excellent understanding of the principles and processes pr project management, including

change control and formal sign off at relevant stages

• Ability to plan ahead for resource requirements and act appropriately to ensure smooth project

delivery

• Ability to multi-task and deal with ambiguity

• Excellent understanding of best practice online user experience principals with some experience

in creating user flows

• Thorough and broad understanding of digital technology & systems

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with others, internally and

externally

• Develop and maintain strong solid working relationships with internal teams, and external

partners as required

• A high standard of written and spoken communication, with evidence of the ability to vary style

and format as appropriate

Required qualifications/experience

• Demonstrable 5 years plus online/digital experience

• Proven track record of owning and delivering high quality and best-in-breed web projects and online

customer experience

• Educated to ‘A’ Levels or equivalent
