Digital Merchandiser - Online Food site

What’s the job?

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Merchandiser to join my client's food site team, working with the Buyer & Trade Marketing Manager to deliver a taxonomy that supports the .com trading strategy & optimises promotional space.

What will I do?

You will:
• Support the day to day management of product groups that deliver our commitments to the business for our areas of responsibility
• Be involved in the development of a category, by reviewing, trialling & delivering of taxonomy that has the best range mix to suit the available space giving customer’s choice over size options
• Work in collaboration with business colleagues to manage discontinued stock through the business, ensuring when new ranges are introduced they can be accommodated on the website
• Work in collaboration with buying team /product development to ensure any future product development meets the required data guidelines to maximise use on the website
• Ensure on a weekly (and if needed daily basis) data is 100% correct & up-to-date on the website
• Build trusting working relationships within a team & cross functional relationships

What skills and qualifications do I need?

The person who gets the job will:
• Detailed product knowledge and understanding of .com operations
• Track record of development & management of categories & a good understanding of ranges & online experience
• Works to a consistently high standard & has excellent organisational skills together with the ability to work under pressure & often to strict timescales.
• BIT literate & preferably have experience of digital merchandising software
• Commercial understanding of .com operations, supply chain & any supplier initiatives
• Awareness of market trends, competitors & new initiatives in the industry
