Digital Media Technology Strategist

This position will help the our client's media department develop comprehensive strategies and tactics that define how, when, and where social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all digital outlets and drive awareness and engagement among target market.
Responsibilities:
• Work with our Media and Communications Linchpin to create and maintain Content Calendars and ensure scheduling of posts is optimized for relevancy and performance results
• Lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for social media
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied throughout the organization
• Define key performance indicators and implement measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success
• Mentor and provide training throughout the organization (including national sales force) on best practices for creating, managing, monitoring, and developing content for social networks
• Explore and identify ways to integrate social media into company strategies and marketing campaigns
• Apply marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies and communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely
• Monitor and be aware of market changes and developments and stay current on the latest social media trends and best practices
• Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, internal reports that lead to optimization.
Qualifications:
• Must be technically proficient in the principles and methods applied across a range of existing and emerging social media platforms. Strong technical background with advanced computer skills is essential.
• Understand different coding languages and ability to determine the best way to direct various projects
• Extremely strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team and/or teams across the organization
• Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
• Must represent a high-level convergence between social media technology enthusiast
• Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills (play well with others)
• Must be creative and innovative with very high attention to detail
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously
• Data-, analytics-, and metrics-oriented. Comfortable working with, interpreting, and presenting data
• Experience coordinating consumer research and database growth initiatives
• Proven track record of results in a similar role
Education/Experience:
• BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the digital marketing space is required.
• Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social technology universe (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google +, Foursquare, Flickr, blogs, wikis, RSS, discussion forums and community software)
• Experience with social network measurement and listening tools (i.e. Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Insights, Radian6, BuzzMetrics, Visible Technologies and Google Analytics)
• Must be an SEO specialist and understand how to optimize content for maximum exposure
• Must have a solid understanding of ethical search engine optimization techniques
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Knowledge of 2010 Adobe Design Suite CS4 or CS5 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash) is desirable
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS and User Experience
• Knowledge of web usability best practices, website navigation design and flow, content classification, and content management methods and systems
• Experience with creating and identifying quality digital media content related to the beverage industry and/or hospitality industry is preferred
