Digital Media Strategist

Our client, an Environmental and Economic policy organization is looking for a Digital Media Strategist/Marketing Manager to join their team! This role will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic digital marketing initiatives, including development of campaigns, content creation, and driving engagement across multiple channels, including Web, social and mobile. The ideal candidate will be able to shift between strategy development, campaign management and execution, user experience design, and analytics interpretation.

Candidates must:
• Have 8-10 years of experience in digital initiatives.
• Have strong knowledge of various digital platforms and technologies.
• Develop plans for creating content for digital projects and marketing campaigns.
• Possess a command of the social media and digital world (from the evolving social web to mobile tools and trends).
• Work well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams of program managers, programmers, editors, designers – displaying proven ability in running a team, controlling timelines and budgets, anticipating issues and working towards solutions to complex problems.
• Possess strong technical proficiency in digital media tracking and analytics.
• Be familiar with major brand social media monitoring platforms.
• Have a thorough understanding of search engine optimization and search engine marketing.
• Have strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Have solid experience in data visualization, chart-making, infographics.
• Have the ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and work effectively both in teams and independently.
• Experience in the public and non-profit sectors a plus.

The ideal candidate will be asked to:
• Working in tandem with internal teams, lead client initiatives and serve as client lead during strategy and development phases of digital media campaigns and marketing campaigns where digital/social/mobile is a component.
• Develop and manage comprehensive digital media and marketing strategies for clients.
• Develop and execute social media strategies, and carry through to execution and day-to-day management and community response. Collaborate with internal creative teams to maximize impact and shareability of all social content assets developed.
• Provide content strategy recommendations to clients based on information obtained through content inventories and assessments, user testing, and Website metrics.
• Advocate for the best user experience, and translate client and user needs into supporting user experience document.
• Conduct and/or lead research related to user experience, including surveys, contextual interviews, user, and usability studies.
• Define KPIs and implement measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success of digital/social marketing programs.
• Guide the creation of social media program status reports that detail key analytics, tracking and activity reports, content topics, , monitoring results, etc.
• Participate in new business pitch development and presentations.
• Mentor junior colleagues.
