Digital Marketing Strategist

Vitamin T has an exciting opportunity for a Freelance Digital Marketing Strategist for a client in the South Suburbs.  This will start as a 6-8 week full-time on-site Website Rebuild Project that can potentially lead to a long-term opportunity! The Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for overseeing the project with expert-level knowledge of digital strategies, marketing technology, analytics, digital production, and development. You will work closely with the Designer, Copy Writer/Content Strategist, Project Manager/Digital Producer, Developer, and the marketing team for a true integrated approach. As the technical leader of this project, you will be responsible for providing data-driven, measurable, creative, and strategic inputs. You will be expected to demonstrate your expertise through flawless execution while always staying focused on the overall goal.

Qualifications

  • Expert in creating informed digital marketing strategies
  • Knowledgeable of development and usability standards and best practices, and emerging technology trends
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms, web servers, system architectures, databases and back-end related technologies
  • Advanced expertise in world-leading CMS frameworks including Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.
  • High-level knowledge and hands-on experience with SEM/SEO/PPC campaigns and campaign integration from a technical perspective
  • Highly experienced with QA (Quality Assurance) testing of digital products
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
  • 8+ years of experience as digital marketing strategist
  • Management of end-to-end website development, testing, and maintenance
  • Experience working with multiple teams
  • Agile methodology experience preferred
  • Experience with Ektron preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Marketing team to understand business objectives and marketing goals, and assist in providing strategic thought, ensuring achievable goals are being set and met
  • Collaborate with the integrated team on the strategic requirements, including user experience, to ensure the design and execution of a cutting-edge digital experience 
  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and best practices for usability, design and functionality as well as from a digital process perspective including concepting through development and QA processes
  • Spearhead the project from research through hands-on development, contributing to code, design, and production
  • Act as a subject matter expert of hosting, domain registration, and webmaster contact
