Do you want to help grow one of the newest strategic initiatives? Our client’s Campus is a new program focused on engaging and acquiring college student customers through direct collaboration with universities. In 2015, they became the official bookstore of Purdue and UMass – Amherst and launched their first physical locations on both campuses.
The Campus team is seeking a talented, dynamic and self-directed Digital Marketing Specialist to execute customer-facing digital marketing and merchandising campaigns targeting college communities.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will support the Campus team in positioning the company as a leading destination for students and ensuring an aligned and effective customer acquisition and engagement strategy. You will manage campaigns across company-owned online marketing channels, including the .com home page, product detail pages, and email.

The successful candidate will leverage CMS and HTML experience, proven digital marketing savvy, and a keen eye for detail to develop, launch, test, and report on campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement. The ability to manage multiple milestones in a fast-moving environment, while keeping senior stakeholders updated on your progress, is critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Build and manage digital marketing campaigns, tracking tasks and dependencies across multiple teams
Execute A/B tests, report on campaign performance, and make campaign adjustments to maximize results
Partner with design team to manage production of campaign assets

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years experience in email marketing, site merchandising, and/or content management
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to edit basic HTML and XML
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to create customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to an online audience
Experience with customer segmentation and targeting
Proficiency with web analytics tools
Experience with A/B or multivariate testing
Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
Excellent documentation and workflow management skills

The Campus Marketing team supports on and offline marketing efforts at the company’s staffed order pickup locations on college campuses. The Digital Marketing Specialist will support the team by managing site merchandising and email marketing campaigns for new location launches and back to school season. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work closely with our two Senior Marketing Managers and designer, as well as our Campus Business Management team in a highly collaborative environment.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will support continued growth, particularly through back to school season. The Digital Marketing Specialist will manage site merchandising on the .com, as well as company-owned email marketing campaigns; they may also support digital marketing campaigns through University-owned channels. This person will develop, launch, test and report on campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement among campus communities.

A typical workday
To operate most effectively, the Digital Marketing Specialist should plan on a fairly standard business schedule, working out of our South Lake Union office.

Length of Assignment
We would like to have someone start in this role by the end of May and stay through early October. There is possibility the project could extend beyond that – we will be able to more accurately make that assessment in late August/early September.


Possibility of Conversion to FT
FTE status TBD – we will have a better sense of this opportunity in late August/early September.
