Aquent’s D.C. area large non-profit client is looking for a long-term contract Digital Marketing Specialist. The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing overall support for of the Marketing team with a focus on supporting the day-to-day execution of email and digital marketing initiatives for the client. The candidate will support a fast-paced team, focused on driving customer acquisition, engagement and sales through email newsletters, trigger communications, paid search and advertising campaigns. The Digital Marketing Specialist also will:

• Support the Email Marketing Manager by leading the coordination of campaign and targeted email communications to include newsletters, targeted event notifications, and other marketing messages by selecting content, coordinating with external agency/partners for creative development, proofreading/testing and running the trafficking/approvals.
• Support the Marketing Manager in planning, managing the execution of, and analyzing technical email program builds to support LifeReimagined.org functionality and drive re-engagement and upsell opportunities to meet the brand's goals of retention, activity and sales.
• Rigorously test and proofread each email, verifying copy, layout, links, and dynamic content as well as assessing testing plans and audience targeting.
• Review and analyze email performance data to identify trends and opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of campaign results.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams and agencies spanning graphic design to technical implementation to ensure all projects are on schedule and meet requirements to take ideas from strategy to launch.
• Manage CMS based content, landing pages and campaigns to support marketing and event efforts.
• Support the Director of Marketing in the planning, execution and optimization of paid media and advertising strategies.
• Evaluate, edit and provide feedback on creative and copy projects to ensure all communications align with the brand voice and style.
• Creating, testing and maintaining CMS based web pages including copy and photo content pages and online survey development.

Skills/Experience Desired:
• One to three years’ experience in online/email marketing
• Previous experience working with/in the SalesForce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) email platform desired, but not required
• Experience in copy editing, proofreading, and online functionality testing (quality assurance)
• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment under tight deadlines
