Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for defining digital sales and marketing strategy and implementing strategies that build the brand and generate revenue growth opportunities in both label and franchising sales. This role interfaces across the globe with departmental heads throughout the organization to provide project management and leadership in delivering digital marketing solutions that enhance customer experience and build the income of franchisees.

The key pillars of the role include:

• Initiating and managing digital activities that drive sales growth, enhance customer retention and drive franchisee recruitment
• Delivering digital training and communication initiatives that deepen franchisee engagement and deliver compliance with the organizational system
• Total management of the business’s online reputation/identity globally

Duties:

• Develop and implement digital marketing strategy & content strategy
• Develop, deliver and maintain an integrated e-Commerce Platform for the business
• Participate in the development of strategic partner alliances including the identification and application of innovative technologies / emerging media as well as collaboration with third parties
• Partner with internal and external suppliers to ensure that best-in-class digital media practices are adopted, evolving and being adhered to
• Maintain the Australian website, share enhancements / materials to benefit all aspects of the business, working with them to facilitate this
• Own, manage and run the global social media presence and work collaboratively with all departments to develop an annual calendar of events
• Manage online brand reputation and utilise response strategies to counter negative activity and bolster positive content
• Identify new opportunities and optimise existing online channels to drive enquiry for sales growth and franchisee recruitment
• Identify, implement and administer digital communication tools to facilitate franchisee training and engagement
• Manage digital marketing budget
• Manage all digital marketing disciplines including SEO, SEM, PPC, acquisition campaigns, website, eDM, CRM
• Managing agencies to implement online search strategies
• Perform regular audits of global websites and make recommendations for continual improvement
• Manage regular reporting and tracking of key metrics / Google analytics
• Work with “traditionally” authored marketing media (print, radio, direct mail etc.) to adapt strategies so that they are relevant for online efforts (content creation, banner advertising, video rich media, etc)
• Drive a centralised email marketing platform
• Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data and implement plan alterations as needed
• Problem solving across technical areas, including CMS, creative, tools, testing and website management
• Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring campaign deliverables are met
• Maintain Google Place listings for all Regional Franchise locations across Australia
• Manage the company presence at key industry events in Australia, such as PeSA and the Online Retailer Expo
• Online copywriting, plus develop, encourage contributions and maintain content for the Franchise Partner Intranet, including an internal blog for Australia and New Zealand
• Work with key internal stakeholders to develop relevant and engaging blog content for the website to develop a company profile as an industry thought leader
• Develop and integrate a subscription database on the Australian website and develop a regular newsletter format for subscribers
• Manage relationship with PR agency and approve releases within the confines of the brand guidelines
• Conference development and preparations as required
• Maintain user database for Franchise Partner Intranet

Knowledge / skills / experience:

• A minimum of four years experience in B2B digital marketing practices plus experience in offline marketing
• Degree qualified with marketing major
• Proven experience in online digital platforms, best practice SEO, SEM, social media, eDM and other web related marketing
• Strong knowledge of Internet Browsers, HTML, mobile technologies and MS Office
• Experience in eCommerce
• Proven track record translating sales & marketing objectives into results
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and manage through conflict, driving groups to collective business decisions
• Excellent copywriting skills for content management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An ideas person, capable of identifying new opportunities
• Strong relationship skills and the ability to negotiate and influence
• Proactive and results-driven
• Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritise workload with a sense of urgency
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data and insights
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
• Team player
