Digital Marketing Manager

As Sr. Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a lead role in the development, implementation and analysis of online marketing initiatives that support our client’s business and marketing objectives specific to the Application Performance Management (APM) business unit. A critical function of this role is to drive the development and implementation of effective digital marketing strategies specific to this segment and in complement to the larger, online ecosystem for the organization.

Delivering on metrics and priorities across BU-specific initiatives, you will be responsible for developing online strategies and execution plans that optimize and enhance the web presence of our client’s APM related websites.


Responsibilities:

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will have a track record of improving critical business outcomes across the entire digital ecosystem including web, search, social, mobile and other digital strategies.

• Own and optimize the customer experience for core sections of the site; become the expert in understanding our web audiences and their needs; broker solutions and address escalations across experience design, analytics, editorial and other subject matter experts to drive improvements.
• Translate business goals, marketing objectives, vertical segments, and customer personas into effective and enjoyable web experiences for visitors
• Partner with product, industry and field marketing teams to understand their overall business goals and work collaboratively with internal corporate teams to successfully plan, coordinate, launch and measure web marketing projects to meet those goals.
• Advocate effective web content within the organization - leading the definition and development of customer-focused content strategies that lead to greater visitor satisfaction and conversion
• Be able to interpret and compile data results into meaningful strategic insight and ROI data from a variety of mediums including: web analytic tools, email, customer database, web site traffic, and advertising campaigns.
• PPC/SEM/SEO proficiency including defining requirements, keyword universe, analytics foundation, monitoring, and optimization. Work with internal and 3rd party resources to achieve optimum results, including conversion and top rankings on major search engines.
• Effectively communicate priorities, project prioritization and results to all stakeholders
• Be an advocate of new and innovative online solutions
• Manage and consult external vendors as needed


Qualifications:
• Experience working on commercial web sites (within the context of a larger web team environment) with a proven understanding of web technologies, browser compatibilities and limitations, content and process management, and site implementation
• Expertise with online marketing initiatives such as pay-per-click advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), as well as email campaigns and banner performance
• Extensive experience managing and optimizing online user experiences with a proven ability to meet quantitative success metrics (5-7+ yrs.)
• Expertise with web analytics tools and technology strongly preferred (Google, Omniture, or other).
• Must have working knowledge of web technologies and systems; experience with web content management systems (WCMS). (Red Dot or Adobe CQ, a plus)
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a high-pressure environment; expert multi-tasker
• Understanding of web site design, user interface design principles, usability testing, and site technologies
• Experience influencing and facilitating cross-functional teams
• Must be a results-oriented team player with a sense of ownership
• Knowledge of integrated marketing and customer relationship disciplines a significant plus.

Education:
• B.A./B.S. in marketing or related degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
