Digital Marketing Manager

Our client, an awesome startup are looking for a Digital Marketing Marketing to lead digital marketing and analytics for the business, developing the digital marketing strategy and plan; digital campaigns to acquire and retain customers cost effectively; managing agencies, budgets and timelines; set up and manage marketing reporting and analysis across customer segmentation and insights, conversion and campaign optimisation.

Key Outcomes
● Work with the wider team to develop and execute a strong and effective digital marketing strategy and channel plan to acquire new customers and engage existing customers
● Develop effective digital marketing campaigns as part of an integrated approach to drive traffic and app downloads to acquire new customers
● Explore opportunities to optimise funnel conversion
● Strong focus on analysis, campaign performance, optimisation and conversion through the platform
● Ability to lead the digital strategy but equally happy to ‘get hands dirty’ and optimise campaigns to meet business targets
● Manage acquisition campaigns and budgets across SEM, SEO, performance display, eDM, and social
● Work with media agency to pull together a digitally first media plan to acquire new customers
● Explore new ways to acquire customers and test new channels where relevant
● Build strong agency partnerships across media buying and creative
● Develop a digital marketing plan to acquire businesses for customer referrals
● Analyse campaign performance and optimise campaigns in real-time - using data on a daily basis to be responsive and performance-oriented always (including use of tools such as Google Analytics)
● Also a strong focus on analysis of the product and landing pages, and conversion through the funnel
● Work with product to implement a referral program to retaining and upselling customers
● Source a CRM tool and develop a CRM plan for engaging with customers
● Analyse and segment customers for retargeting and upselling
● Proactively analyse traffic, platform and campaign performance, ROI, lifetime value, etc and communicate to identify gaps and opportunities
● Manage analytics, A/B and Multivariate testing to increase conversion through the product and work with the product team to implement recommendations
● Recommend and set up suitable tools for SEO, CRO, SEM, customer segmentation, CRM, digital analytics.
● Actively communicate insights to the wider organization

Qualities and Experience

● 5+ years digital marketing experience with a track record in acquisition marketing and analytics in ecommerce businesses (+ experience with Google Analytics)
● Relevant Bachelor Degree
● Strong on acquisitions marketing
● Analytical and curious by nature. Insights led decision maker who enjoys being hands-on with data to drive smarter actions.
● Self-starter – used to working in agile /nimble environments and can work autonomously.
● Passionate about people and customer service
● Disruptive, progressive and has a talent for digital marketing
● Entrepreneurial mindset: adaptable, pragmatic, proactive, hands-on, strategic, analytical, and ambitious
● Data driven approach to marketing, comfortable with complex data, analysis and insights. Must be very focused on measurement through data and fast iteration through learning
● Strong understanding of marketing technology required to win in digital marketing
● Good at working within an ambiguous, fast paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go
● Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
● A willingness to roll up sleeves to get it done
