Digital Marketing Lead

Vitamin T's client is currently seeking a Digital Marketing Lead to join their team. This is a temporary position with the strong possibility to transition into a permanent role. Our client is location in the Oakland area. 

The Digital Marketing Lead is responsible for content creation, monitoring, and responses across social platforms, helping drive rapid consumer adoption, optimizing online advertising spend, and inspiring amazing brand loyalty.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create content:  Plan, write, and post content across social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, blogs on Wordpress, and LinkedIn
  • Manage digital media: Plan, execute and optimize digital media spend by managing media vendors, including ads on social, digital display, and SEM
  • Listen & respond: Monitor conversations of organic and paid content, engage or elevate issues to Member Care when appropriate
  • Engage influencers: Build and manage relationships with relevant media and key influencers
  • Analyze: Report, analyze, and recommend changes based on social media and online advertising platform performance
  • Research platforms: Research and recommend use of emerging social media and online advertising platforms

Social Media Expert - Skilled in strategy planning, tactics, and community management. Understands how content works on a social web, and optimizes content and technology. Has a creative mindset, excellent writing skills, and is on top of the latest digital marketing trends. (Expert)

Writing - Ability to create original content and communicate thoughts and ideas in a readable form. (Expert)

Creativity - Ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions (Intermediate)

Analysis - Examines data and facts to uncover and understand cause-effect relationships, thus providing basis for problem solving and decision making. (Intermediate)

Email Marketing – Aptitude to apply best practices and leverage guidelines for email drip and retargeting weekly email campaigns (Intermediate)

Brand loyalty  - Cultivating a pattern of consumer behavior where consumers become committed to a brand and make repeat purchases form the same brands over time. (Intermediate)

Listening - Understands, receives, and interprets content and relational messages. Responds with verbal and nonverbal feedback. (Intermediate)

Research - Ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information if necessary, and identify key issues that need to be addressed. Identify, scrutinize, improve, and streamline complex work processes through highly analytical thinking and analysis. (Intermediate)

Education/Experience/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required). Preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3+ years digital marketing experience, specializing in social and/or online advertising. (Required)
  • Experience managing Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, MailChimp, and Wordpress (Preferred)
  • Experience reporting on and analyzing web analytics and traditional digital media KPIs (Preferred)
  • Experience using social analytics, insights, and listening tools in Sprout Social (Preferred)
  • Experience with paid social media, digital and SEM (e.g., Google Ad Words, Apple App Store, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter) (Preferred)
