Digital Marketing Director

Our client, an experiential marketing agency, is looking for a Digital Marketing Director for a temp to perm role. This client is located around the South Bay, and are looking to get somebody started within the next couple of weeks.

The Digital Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and directing the execution of integrated programs and strategies for our clients across all digital channels (web, interactive, mobile, email, social, etc.). These programs will seamlessly integrate digital into a larger experiential program to meet or exceed client expectations and objectives. You will lead, mentor and grow our digital and social media teams, consistently delivering premium marketing solutions for our clients. You will participate in new business development, working with cross-functional internal teams to craft winning and successful pitches.


Integrated Digital Marketing + Client Management (35%)
Ensure digital initiatives are developed to meet or exceed individual client needs and/or requirements to engage target audiences with client brands. Serve as the internal expert and auditor for any interactive experience or project at the agency. Function as the bridge for web, mobile, CRM, social, and digital media solutions for our clients. Ensure adherence to client data security requirements and protocols for every interactive experience where client consumer/target data is involved. Ensure team utilizes proper scope, budget, and project management processes on all interactive project work at the agency. Lead client conversations and prepare for client meetings with all necessary documents and information. Integrate interactive digital strategies with social media and mobile applications into experiential campaigns.

Interactive + Social Media Strategy (25%)
Ideate innovative and effective ideas and solutions to present internally and to clients. Lead development of comprehensive digital strategies focused on building awareness, engagement and advocacy for client brands. Develop integrated digital marketing strategies and plans including all aspects (web, mobile, social and digital content) which support client objectives. Identify and evaluate new digital marketing methods, channels, and technologies for best application to current client and future new business capabilities and opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends within the experiential industry and consumer market. Develop and implement social strategies based on objectives, KPI’s, ROI and analytics, and ensure those measurements are included in ongoing on project completion reports.

New Business Development (25%)
Partner with the creative department and participate in new business proposal development and pitches, as needed. Create innovative ways to sell the company's digital and social media capabilities into the world’s leading brands and agencies. Develop an action-oriented plan to identify key target companies for qualified opportunities (as defined by leadership), to generate new prospects, and grow accounts from an existing client base. Identify digital/social media project opportunities in key target companies through current client conversations, networking, industry events and engagements. Represent agency through networking at industry events and trade shows as strategic thought leader and subject matter expert in emerging industry trends and opportunities in the digital and social media space.

Team Management (15%)
Lead the digital team, comprised of Interactive Producers and Social Media managers. Manage, mentor and inspire those reporting to you for department and individual growth. Instill a strategic and efficient approach in all digital team members. Hold daily and/or weekly department meetings to ensure quality control and time management best practices. Review weekly time reports and shift or advise team assignments as needed. Allocate all digital team members across agency projects.

- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, digital media, communications, integrated marketing or related field

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in interactive, digital or experiential marketing agency Minimum 5 years of strategy experience in an agency environment creating and directing digital strategies that drive development of digital and interactive experiences and campaigns for major brands, preferably in the consumer products, trade show, convention, and sports industries. Minimum 3-5 years of team management. Experience developing strategies for digital applications for both indoor and outdoor activations.
