The successful candidate will join this high growth business on an contract role and be responsible for
a range of acquisition marketing activity aimed at the small business owner. The successful candidate
will help in the design and execution of various acquisition strategies via organic search ( SEO) , Paid Search ( SEM) , and
Display ( Media) across all digital mediums (online, mobile, tablet, etc.). There will also be some
agency management (media and creative). This is a great opportunity for a quick learner to get detailed
hands on experience in digital marketing.
Working with the Manager of Digital Marketing and key US stakeholders, you will be responsible for
helping to grow our direct customer base through the following tactics:
o Regularly monitor keyword performance across all search engines to ensure progress
o Collaborate with content mangers and IT to execute technical changes to the site
architecture to help SEO performance
o Work with the content marketing team to implement content optimizations across the
desktop and mobile site across the domain and sub-domains.
o Regularly monitor site health (desktop/mobile) via sitemaps, webmaster messages,
domain authority and identify 404 errors, re-direct implementations, etc.
o Monitor and test the migration of our mobile site
o Liaison with the agency to get the internal monthly blog content calendar and partner
with the social media team to execute the calendar.
o Partner with agency and internal teams to execute recommendations to optimize our
blog content based on our new blog design.
o Develop linking relationships with external partners and provide content for their site
and/ or get content for our site. Maintain an external content calendar for these
partnerships and align with our social media manager to sync it with the internal
o Monitor our blogger network and performance and explore directory listing
SEM & Display:
o Work with me to launch our paid social media campaigns for SEM across multiple
o Work with external agencies to implement different types of creative formats ( images
o Work with internal and external agency to get creative for our different partners
o Monitor SEM and Display performance and investments
o Work with agency on the competitive landscape and appropriate optimizations.
o Partner with the agency and the content marketing team to streamline SEM and
Display tags across all pages.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
o Bachelor’s degree
o Marketing Background
o Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
o Digital experience: The successful candidate will be digitally savvy and should have a
good knowledge of online user experiences across different types of devices.
o This person should have strong interpersonal skills. This is a critical requirement of
this role. The incumbent should be comfortable building new partnerships and
adjusting their styles when interacting with different types of people.
o Some agency management of media and internal and external creative agencies
o Some experience using and report building from tools like Google Analytics, etc.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
o Good knowledge of B2B marketing ideally within the small business segment
o Basic copywriting skills would be an advantage
o Knowledge of web usability best practices
o Knowledge of working with IT to launch programs
o Background knowledge of SEO
o Background and experience with briefing ad agencies and design shops and working
with media agencies preferred
o Experience of working with social media e.g. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn
