Marketing Automation Specialist

Our large financial service client located in Manhattan is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist for a 3 month contract position to help them with an automation project.

This is fulltime and onsite. 

The marketing team seeks a talented Marketing Automation Data Specialist for a project engagement to support
and enhance our marketing automation reporting efforts. You will be serving as a key member of the project team and
will be primarily responsible for building data processing and reporting infrastructures to support the team in
understanding and quantifying customer behaviors. You will help the team build a data mart to consolidate internal and
external data sources to support dashboards improve the team marketing, process, and product efforts. You will be
working closely with our Senior Technology Solutions Consultant and the Director of Digital Marketing to develop these
dashboards to measure and support the development of our customer journeys. In order to support these efforts you
will develop processes to segment the recipients of the outbound campaigns and analyzing the activity against these
targeted audiences.
The ideal candidate has an understanding of digital marketing metrics and analytics to effectively identify data elements,
tools and structures used to sustain the corresponding reporting dashboards. The role involves collaboration with both
the sales and marketing teams thus the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player and have the
ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.


Responsibilities:
In order to support the development of the team’s Digital Marketing Analytics Reporting Platform:
- Develop a data mart to enable the team to monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance to help
optimize content and segment audiences for increased engagement
- Leverage OLAP tools to provide visibility into key activity and engagement data for the marketing automation
program and website
- Develop ETL and reconciliation processes to consolidate data from multiple sales and marketing data sources
- Develop a data conduit to support maintainable weekly email and web activity performance reports and
dashboards for team review
- Work with Sales team to develop customer activity reports from Salesforce and to capture sales transaction data
to develop engagement correlations
- Utilize captured activity data to develop metrics and reports to ensure proper site tagging and source
identification of inbound traffic to support and validate the team’s UX design customer journey efforts.
- Collaborate with team to build data visualizations and design dashboards to support tactical and strategic goal-
setting and decision-making

Required Skills and Experience:
 5-10 years hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform (Pardot is preferred) 
 5-10 years CRM experience (Salesforce is a plus)
Highly proficient in use and understanding of SQL for data analytics and reporting (SSRS experience is a plus)
Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Data Studio for Analytics tracking and Dashboard
Development
Working understanding of OLAP and data visualization tools (Tableau is a plus)
Experience with B2B interactive marketing techniques including: SEO, Lead scoring, Segmentation and Customer
Journeys
