3-6 month contract

Based Reading
Salary £29,000 per annum – this is a part-time role working 3 days a week
Contract to start ASAP – ideally early April as this is a maternity cover role
Contract will be until 30th June 2013 most likely extend to cover remaining maternity leave

Role Purpose

This role requires a background in B2B marketing, combined with practical technical competency in digital marketing. More specifically, the role requires a thorough understanding of inbound marketing utilising a range of digital techniques such as SEO, social media and content creation across a range of formats (blog, eBook and video).

The role will also require the support and management of offline initiatives such as events and advertising.

Digital is the core focus of this role.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist with the implementation of the UK education team’s inbound marketing and community initiatives and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure its effectiveness.
• Work with UK Education Marketing Manager to ensure the community platforms (website, blog and social properties etc.) are kept up to date and functional.
• Help to generate compelling editorial content and manage a schedule of blog material for the education community to engage with.
• Assist with the management of communities located in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, SlideShare and other relevant social media outposts.
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the growth of the community (blog, Facebook, Twitter & SlideShare), and analyse, review, and report on the effectiveness of new initiatives.
• Monitor trends in online community tools, trends and applications
• Assist the UK Education team with the management of all event activities, including both as well as partner led activities
• Design skills – ability to create basic marketing materials such as whitepapers and eBooks

Key Success Criteria

• Strong personal usage of tools such as Twitter and LinkedIn
• Proven experience of developing and running successful digital marketing campaigns within a B2B context

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience

• Proven experience of running digital marketing campaigns and reporting outcomes
• Proven SEO experience
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of online community platforms (Blogs, social networks etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
• Strong project management or organisational skills
• Editorial, Marketing and Customer Service experience

2) Technical / Functional Skills

• Awareness and appreciation of tools such as Twitter, Facebook and SlideShare and how they can be used to build communities and drive revenue

3) Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills

• Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills

4) Qualifications

• University graduate
• IDM/CIM qualification (preferred but not a prerequisite)
