Digital Sales & Marketing Assistant

Key aspects of the role

To assist the Digital Manager with all forms of digital marketing and sales campaign to exponentially increase website traffic, E-Commerce revenue and conversion, email marketing/Life Cycle Marketing, and social media engagement. This hands-on position will involve collaboration with internal departments and requires a high level of planning, creativity and multi-tasking.

• Manage all website content, products, stock availability, digital assets, SEO, CRO, and website optimization for E-Commerce and Prospecting sites

• Assist with creation of landing pages for SEM and digital campaigns

• Coordinate E-commerce offers and end-to-end campaigns, content, digital assets, campaign tracking, sales analysis and post campaign reviews and manage web/order enquiries

• Manage customer database, including segmentation, targeting and optimization strategies

• Create mobile responsive HTML emails, copy writing, coordinate content & digital assets, email optimization tests, schedule & send emails, monitor response rates & report key metrics

• Set-up and manage Email Lifecycle Marketing series for all segments including transactional data automation into Exact Target to acquire, onboard, engage and retain customers

• Manage existing and new Social Media channels, content, campaigns, and content on 3rd party sites to increase digital footprint, engagement and site visits

• Report on web metrics, online sales, offers, email marketing, social media engagement, digital campaigns, and optimization tests using various CMS, NetSuite, Google Analytics and tools

• Assist with the coordination of new digital initiatives, ad hoc tasks and competitor analysis


Skills Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (marketing)

• 2 years plus Digital Marketing & Online Sales experience

• Email Management Systems and lifecycle marketing experience (Exact Target preferred)

• E-Commerce Systems and CMS experience

• Website Analytics skills and ability to deliver insights from data (Google Analytics & E-Commerce tracking)

• HTML/CSS knowledge (Basic-Intermediate level is advantageous but not essential)

• Understanding of Social Media Strategy to engage target market

• Good copy writing skills, with a high standard of verbal and written communication.
