Digital Marketing Analyst

The Digital Marketing Analyst is a member of a 20-member team which directs all marketing initiatives for our organizations campaign. The Analyst contributes primarily to the interactive team, but may also be called upon to help assist on grassroots and partnership-related projects, as well as projects outside of the digital sphere.
The responsibilities' include hands-on experience working with Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Google Analytics, Adobe Target, Optimizely, among others and can demonstrate an ability to translate raw data and test results into an analysis. Applicants need to possess intimate working knowledge of these tools, including how to implement them across channels and how to configure them for advanced channel source reporting.


THE DAY-TO-DAY STUFF:

Analyze and synthesize data to translate results into KPIs for the evaluation of the efficacy of campaign, tactical and broader strategic multi-channel digital marketing programs (e.g., website traffic, social media, digital advertising, SEM, SEO, etc.) using Omniture and Google Analytics.
Provide data and analysis to suggest improvements and to help optimize process and user experience across digital channels based on data and observed trends.
Develop KPIs and visual dashboards, working with internal and external agencies, and report to management and project teams.
Devise and conduct A/B tests across digital channels (primarily through the Truth website, email marketing, SMS and SEM) using tools such as Optimizely and/or Adobe Target.
Collaborate with external agencies to translate findings into optimized campaign spending, creative, contextual, etc.
Take the lead and be responsible for digital advertising, email marketing, SEO and SEM campaign reporting and optimization.
Social media analysis, listening and engagement reporting. This position will work with our in-house social media team to define the best reporting metrics for the social networks we utilize or plan to use.
Deliver performance measurement and reporting to track investments in truthinitiative.org, corporate social media and push tactics.
Develop insights to inform truthinitiative.org web content strategy, social media tactics and push tactics to (1) deepen engagement with key audiences and (2) expand our audience/reach.

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:

Thorough working knowledge of Omniture and/or Google Analytics.
Hands on experience with Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager and Google Tag Manager.
Working knowledge of Sprout, SimplyMeasured and Sysomos.
Experience with advance segmentation and cohort analysis.
Expertise in digital media analytics. Specifically, you will be working across all digital channels including Website marketing, SEO, SEM, Email Marketing, SMS, etc.
Experience using eCRM and CMS platforms is a plus, specifically Drupal, Salsa, Salesforce, etc.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. Visual Basic, pivot tables, macros, functions, etc.) to mine large data sets and generate metrics and KPI reports and dashboards.
Individual must be a high-energy professional and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Ability to manage projects through their entire life cycle in collaboration with internal and external team members.
In-depth knowledge of concepts and trends in emerging media and the ability to translate this into actionable recommendations.
Familiarity with marketing automation tools and processes, as is agency or consultancy experience is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree with 1-6 years of experience in advertising, communications, marketing, new media or public relations. The individual should be a savvy and detail-oriented analyst with a deep understanding of digital channels who can provide not only the data analysis, but thought leadership focused on delivering the best ROI for ongoing programs. They must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak to technical and non-technical audiences; ability to work independently and efficiently on concurrent projects and with internal staff and outside partners/vendors is a requirement; advertising/communications agency experience is desired. Candidate must be able thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
