Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist

Our top retail real estate development client is looking for a passionate digital marketing and social media expert that will help contribute to and execute client’s digital marketing and social strategy. This position is responsible for creating, editing, distributing and optimizing relevant, contextual and personalized content across social media platforms, mall web sites and other digital web properties to attract, engage and retain shoppers.

Responsibilities:

• Creating, editing and publishing content to web sites and social media platforms;
• Continuously monitoring, measuring and reporting social media activities, trends and campaign results and delivering insights to drive continuous improvement and reinvestment strategies;
• Measuring overall content effectiveness by reporting success metrics;
• Leveraging consumer research to promote and optimize content that resonates with each mall’s top shopper segment(s);
• Partnering with internal and external teams to create and curate digital marketing content;
• Partnering with the Customer Experience and Field Marketing teams to escalate and resolve shopper inquiries and conflicts;

Knowledge/Skills:

• 4+ years of related digital marketing or social media experience, including 2+ years web writing, editing and publishing content for specific audiences.
• Strong competency and experience with using social media, personally and professionally.
• Experience with key technology enablers, including, but not limited to social media publishing and monitoring applications (Adobe Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Crimson Hexagon, Radian6 or similar), content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager experience a plus), website analytics (Adobe or Google), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver), and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS with an understanding of web site architecture and navigation a plus.
• Knowledge search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, and experience applying those to web sites and digital programs.
• A/B testing or multivariate testing experience (Adobe Target experience a plus).
• Knowledge of industry guidelines and best practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, including proficiency in copywriting, proofreading, critiquing and instructing others.
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, summarizing results and making recommendations based on findings.
• Experience working across an organization and creating solid partnerships with all relevant stakeholders to gather business requirements and set priorities for social media and website initiatives.
• Weekend and evening hours will be required; occasional travel required. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Project management excellence; attention to details; keep commitments big and small.
• Academic background in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism or related field. Undergraduate college degree or equivalent experience minimum.
