This is a unique opportunity to use data and technology to convert actionable insights to support compelling recommendations for future policy development and service design. Utilising your strong relationship building capability you will work closely with stakeholders to solve analytical problems, create dashboards and assist the government when telling complex data driven stories that are engaging and accessible to a broad diverse audience.
This exciting project is underway to transform the DPC (Department of Premier and Cabinet) suite of digital services by migrating to a unified Drupal 8 platform. This project will vastly improve web presence; providing easier access to government information on a reimagined Victorian Government website.
You will play a key, role in developing and managing a roadmap for analytics services ensuring current technologies and methodologies are used. You will prepare and present briefs and reports and provide recommendations for senior management.
In addition to directly managing a Data Analyst you will lead an experimental design approach to validate analysis, design experiments, test hypotheses and build models.
The technical landscape is diverse and proven expertise across Advanced XL / MS Access / MS PowerPoint practical and reporting is essential. Alongside core experience across Microsoft Power BI Power Query, A/B and multi-variant testing, a detailed understanding of multi-channel metrics (desktop, tablet, mobile), Platform and Technology stack experience – Omniture, Google Analytics, Tableau, Domo, Unica, Excel macros & Pivot tables. Database architecture knowledge including query language (SQL, MongoDB, DBA concepts), NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase.
