Digital Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and execution of creative collateral for the media platform. This position will work in a team environment and responsible for developing compelling creative for our digital channel that includes but not limited to emails, homepages, site assets, social media and additional site projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the digital space, excellent conception and problem solving skills, presenting multiple solutions. This position will have direct interaction with internal partners and work collectively with the design team to develop campaign assets to drive business goals for the media platform. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Work closely with internal partners to develop creative assets to meet the needs of the organization, includes: print collateral, on-air graphics, PowerPoint presentation templates, e-communications & web content 
Collaborate with Marketing team to create off air campaign elements to support overall brand goals (drive tune-in, social engagement, integrated content, etc.) 
Collaborate with the design team in creating assets for integrated ad products on digital platforms 
Ability to take direction from internal partners and internal stakeholders for creative review / approval 


REQUIRED SKILLS: 


An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions 
Excellent design skills and experience with production graphics, image manipulation, typography, layout and color 
A strong portfolio displaying examples of web/email/display adv/application design 
Strong written and presentation skills, comfortable working directly with clients 
High attention to detail and able to solve visual design challenges 
Understanding of web development processes 
Knowledge of internal and external messaging and marketing content creation 
Strong understanding of software UI mechanics, navigational constructs, and iconography 
Excellent Written/Verbal communication skills 
Interpersonal skills to work with all levels of customers 


EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, HCI, or related field or equivalent experience 
A minimum of 2 years’ experience designing interactive media and user interfaces for product software and web applications 
Experience with user research and usability testing 
Expert knowledge of related software (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator)
